Smoke on the Water

One of the most relaxing restaurants in Wilmington. Restaurant is on the banks of the Cape Fear river. Go at sunset for the show. Restaurant has indoor and outdoor seating. Menu isn't huge but is very good. House cocktails are worth trying.

Nice place grab a bite to eat while enjoying a beverage. Prices are reflective for the Ambiance of the location. They should have better special pricing on the off season to bring in the locals as many of the other local establishments do in Wilmington NC. There is a Public pier you can walk onto or dock your boat to as well. It sits on the Beautiful Lower Cape Fear River where you can see some spectacular sunsets. The only down side is the mosquitoes at certain times of the year if you are sitting at the outside tables.

Smoke on the Water was just an OK dining experience. Their call ahead policy is a joke. Call an hour before you plan to arrive. Did that. Arrived on time to be told we still had an hour to wait... Others who had not called ahead were told exactly the same wait time. No advantage to call ahead. Food was only mediocre. Service slow. Location is nice.

Great location right on the river. The fried pickles were amazing. My glass never emptied. The wings were HUGE and cooked perfect. The smoked trout dip was also an amazing appetizer. Only negative was the service was a bit slower on the food coming to the table, but it might have been a little understaffed.

Went here today and didn’t have a complaint. It was at 3pm so it wasn’t too crowded. Food was really good and so was the beer selection. I have a new favorite beer because of this place. The view was awesome .
