Wow! Great new restaurant from Brandon Sharp that can be whatever type of restaurant you need it to be: a bar, a lounge, neighborhood restaurant or upscale dining experience. Great craft cocktails, wonderful wine and beer list and a stunning bar. Sleek dining room and there must be some soundproofing since it's not nearly as loud as many of the restaurants in the Triangle which is a big flaw that Greg Cox regularly ignores. Food is eclectic with many small plates and some interesting mains. The execution of the food is spectacular and the flavors and textures are bold. Service is attentive without being overbearing and is excellent. Parking is easy in the parking deck. Our new favorite since the unfortunate closing of The Lakewood.
Although I was initially hesitant about the lack of reviews, I was extremely pleased and impressed at how incredible the food was. Everything was on point. I would highly recommend trying this place out as it is probably the best food in the area. I am sure that over the next few months it will become very difficult to get a reservation. I will absolutely be coming back soon. Sommelier was very helpful with pairing and the waiter was helpful, nice, and very attentive. One of the best things is that the restaurant is rather small so they can actually give you the attention you need and food is prepared quickly even for a party of 6. There is an outdoor seating area that is nice and enclosed and there is a lounge for drinks and bar snacks prior to seating. Worth coming for just a drink.
We recently enjoyed a delicious, reasonably priced meal of delicate Red Snapper. The fish was excellently presented as well as prepared. Tender baby beet salad and hummus were the perfect starters and the warm fruit crisp covered with a sweet cream sauce could not have been better. We are looking forward to our return for an alfresco feast in their lovely outdoor patio. Awesome food, reasonable prices, friendly staff and welcoming atmosphere - doesn’t get any better than that.
Food was excellent, service was great, atmosphere was very nice. We enjoyed the bar drinks and the bartender was engaging. Highlights were General Tsos cauliflower and steamed pork buns for bar snacks. Roasted pork shoulder and the beets were very nice for first course. The red snapper and gnocchi were our favorites for main course. We had the lemon strawberry shortcake and butterscotch pudding for dessert, both excellent. We look forward to our next visit.
An excellent start for this most welcome addition to E54. The food was delicious, beautifully presented and with the obvious creativity of a Michelin star chef. The staff was friendly and efficient with the desire to make sure your time there was fully enjoyed. We had a wonderful time, and we look forward to visiting again soon!
