Openroad Coffee Roastery

Address: 915 W Mills St, Columbus, NC 28722, USA

Bakery Cafe Restaurant

“A perfect experience! Great service, very friendly and knowledgeable staff quick to answer questions and advise on their favorites. The coffee - premium blends and roasted onsite to perfection. This visit we had lavender lattes and picked up two bags of freshly roasted beans to be able to brew the awesome blends at home. The scones - don’t stop in for coffee without having one ( or two) of their freshly baked scones. We ordered three and split them between the two of us. We had the cherry lemon, triple berry and the tomato basil with cheddar. All three were filled with flavor and melted in your mouth. We are visiting Lake Lure for the weekend and drove over to experience Openroad for our morning coffee time. It was well worth the drive over and definitely a place we will visit again.”

“Wonderful coffee shop and delicious muffins. Barista was very knowledgeable and able to make my latte to order and not too sweet. A wonderful story and intentional business model. The only good coffee shop we could find open on a Sunday. Can’t wait to come back again when passing through town.”

“good food, good bakery. If you decide you want to eat there prepare to be there for a while. We had breakfast and it took an hour and a half. Update: came back for lunch and same experience. Over an hour for a salad!”

Huckleberry's Tryon

Address: 62 N Trade St, Tryon, NC 28782, USA

Bakery Restaurant

“This was our second time eating here. We like the eclectic decorations, friendly staff and unique fare. The baked brie appetizer was delicious as were the muffin, fruit and mixed greens that accompanied the beef taco quiche. The quiche was disappointing in it's blandness. I expected more flavor for such a unique dish. Despite that, we will eat there again!”
