“I really enjoyed my visit to this local coffee shop! The staff was very friendly and kind. Coffee is good. Prices are reasonable. They sell a number of pastries as well. You can also order a number of egg dishes. The decor is coastal and pleasant. The establishment was very clean, as was the restroom. They have WiFi available! If you are in the area this is a must for your morning coffee and breakfast. We tried Mickeys scramble and it was very good. Lots of fresh veggies mixed with the eggs. “It’s a cute and quaint place. There’s a large selection of books and lots of seating, which was very full when we were in. The seating and space in general is packed tight together so it’s difficult to navigate at peak times. The coffee was good - a horchata latte and brown sugar vanilla latte shown in picture. Peanut butter cookies were average but the churritos (mini churros) with Dulce de Leche was a great snack!”

“This place is amazing, they have the most creative pastries. Many are fan favorites like lemon bars and they have many cake options to get a slice from. They've got plenty of seating inside and it's very open. Their cupcakes are to die for and I recommend the Monkey Butter anything when you go. The home made Twinkies are so good, but don't leave without getting a pecan bar. I went on Saturday, it seems their pastries do change and I'm not sure if that depends on the day. Staff is super friendly and they remember you! All in all great pastries, cupcakes and cakes at a great price. Update 5/10/2023 The team here absolutely blew my family away as we moved here from Jersey and my father looked high and low for an Italian Rum Cake. He came to the bakery asking if they'd make it and while they couldn't. That didn't mean it wouldn't happen, within weeks they gave my father a call. They'd made the cake like true bakers, what an inspirational bakery to order from. The cake was so good, it made all of us so happy and gave us fond memories of our days with family back in NJ. These people who work here have such great passion. Highly recommend.”

“Our favorite ice cream place in Raleigh. The service is always fantastic, and they are always so patient and kind. It seems like it’s mostly teens/college students who run it and they do their job well! They always accommodate and answer any questions we may have. There’s only places outside to sit (there is no indoor seating) unfortunately sometimes the seats are really sticky… but it’s understandable because of the constant foot traffic. The baby cone.. (which is a free ice cream cone for kids under a certain height) is awesome. If you want to be impressed try to the banana split with the NY cheesecake ice cream!!”

“I drove by this place a few times and decided to stop in. I was immediately struck by how clean and well lit the store was. After the ride is a bakery with an assortment of fresh pastries and cakes. Of course I had the sample some and they were delicious. The person working in the bakery was very friendly. They also had a wide selection of prepared food for takeout. The produce selection was extensive to include a lot of items you wouldn't find in a typical grocery store. Everything seemed very fresh. The employees were very friendly and I must say that their command of English was far better than my command of spanish. The experience was so good that I had to go back the next day and get another pastry and pick up some valentina sauce.”

“Stopped by the new Giovanni's Brooklyn Bagels shop in Swansboro on a Sunday morning. I was surprised to see that it was quite busy! The staff were quick about entering orders in and the wait time was pretty short considering the amount of customers! There were plenty of fresh delicious bagels to choose from, all of which are displayed so you know which bagels are available. The menu is very easy to read and is filled with tons of delicious options ranging from a handful of flavored cream cheeses, different types of breakfast sandwiches, a variety of drinks, etc. In addition to the bagels being perfect (crisp on the outside, soft on the inside), they also come with the PERFECT amount of cream cheese. The true NY way. The store itself is beautifully decorated and comfortable. There is seating inside and outside so there is plenty of space for customers to eat in if they choose to. Very excited for this to become a regular spot for me.”

“The ice cream I had was super gigantic that I didn’t even finish it. I’m not much of an ice cream eater. But this place served some bomb a** ice cream. It was so soft and smooth. Also very delicious! The milk shakes that my friends brought was humongous also. It looked good too! I went when it was a bit chilly, but I bet if it was warmer it woulda tasted 100x better. It was still good though. I say go give it a try! There’s only drive thru or order and pay by phone only. You couldn’t eat inside because the family was inside and they had small children there. We loved being able to watch the bakers at work while we sipped our coffee and waited for our food. Everyone that we interacted with was extremely nice and pleasant. We were SO impressed with the coffee, Bacon Egg Cheese Bagel, Mediterranean Egg Sammie, and Coffee Cake! It was all wonderful! You can easily tell that everything is made with care using very high quality, natural, and fresh ingredients. We are so excited that we have this type of bakery/cafe in our area now!! The one piece of advice I would give is that this might not be your best bet if you are in a big rush. But I honestly don’t think this is a place meant for folks who are in a big hurry.
