“Unbelievable food!! You have to try the mac and cheese it is out of this world!! The brisket and smoked chicken are both amazing as well. Honestly everything on the menu is great. Be sure to ask about the desert of the day! We drove over an hour (and passed many other bbq joints) to eat here and we were not disappointing. We will be making that drive from now on when we want BBQ!!”

“I can’t say enough about the food and service here. My wife and I used to go to the former restaurant here that was our local favorite. I’m so glad the new business is just as good if not better. Very polite young gentleman helped us. Loved it.”

“We are so glad you built your new restaurant in Forest City. The restaurant is beautiful. There is plenty of parking. We arrived about 230pm, trying to hit a slow time between lunch and dinner. We were seated immediately. The sushi was very good, the waitress (Karen L.) was very polite, the sushi chef came out to see if everything was to our liking, and we received plenty of tea refills (we drink a LOT of tea when we eat). The bathrooms are very clean. The food was very good. We had the stuffed grilled shrimp and Ahi tuna as appetizers, then several rolls (Sakura Roll, Surf & Turf Roll, Spicy Tuna Roll, Paradise Roll). Our favorites were the Sakura Roll and Paradise Roll).”

“What a great little hot dog spot. We ordered "The New Yorker" which was a spicy brown mustard and sauerkraut and it brought me back memories of my days in NY. This is a must have if you're passing through Forest City.. Yum!!!”

“Decent food, decent price. It met all our expectations. Comparable or better than other places around! Only exception would be the spring rolls were s little too greasy. We will definitely come back.”

“I honestly wasn't expecting very much out of this place. It seemed like it was just going to be a tourist trap. Was pleasantly surprised by the food and service! It's a bit pricey, but the portions are nice size and everything tasted delicious.”

“Nc has always baffled me with how much the people love dry bbq. This bbq is something else. It's in the top 3 in nc”

“Disappointed that mustard meant dijon. The meat and cheese board is not worth the price. The bottles of wine is well priced and tasty. The lobster roll is not worth it if you are a lobster roll fan. But beautiful location and we had a fun new waitress attending to our table.”

“The food was home cooking comfort food. I especially recommend the pancakes for breakfast - big and fluffy and crisp around the edges. Just like grandma used to make. There is also a small souvenir store in-restaurant. It's Christian themed, as is the restaurant, so if that is your style then this is the perfect place for you. My only complaints were the waitress's attitude - clearly did not want to be here, and a little bit of a wait to get both service and food. If you don't mind waiting, then it's overall a good experience.”

“Ate here on our way home from Maggie Valley. The pecan chicken salad was good. Hubby said his cheeseburger was good. Was right around lunchtime & the place was filling up pretty fast. Staff was friendly. You go up to the counter and order. They give you cups to fix your own drink. Also give you a number. Then staff brings order to your table.”

“We had lunch here the bisque was delicious, lick the bowl clean. We also had the Cuban, it was also good, served on toasted rolls with a side. The waitress recommended the cinnamon roll but it was a bit doughy in the middle. It was Mothers day so they were really busy and I appreciated how all the workers helped out to make sure everyone received decent service. They welcome our canine companions. Both our boys were served fresh water and they have a doggy menu. We ordered fresh marrow bones for them and they enjoyed their bones while we enjoyed our lunch.”

“On our visit here at Chimney Rock we stopped in here to get a parfait and a banana split... The young lady that was working there will do her grandma Justice and she was doing quite well... I was very impressed with her and I even told her that one day she going to be a millionaire with her work ethics.. :-).. you go girl..:-) ;-) Later that day we went back and got to meet the owner which was the girl's grandmother and again our experience was excellent.. Yes I suppose somebody could complain about the price but why.??. we got a banana split and a parfait and it was about $10 . we think it's a great deal and it was absolutely wonderful.. We have no complaints and five stars (5☆) to the young lady who was there running it all by herself home from school on summer vacation.. She does her grandma Justice.. I highly recommend this place and we will return....”

“Delicious Mexican with a huge menu and salsa bar. Super friendly staff and large portions make this an excellent spot for grabbing a quick bite. I had the Carnitas dinner which came with three warm tortillas. I should mention the bean dip that came with the chips was INCREDIBLE. Will definitely be back.”

“Great views so try and sit on the balcony or at least by the windows so that you can enjoy the view of Lake Lure. My husband had the Ribs and he said they were the best he ever had, they were falling off the bone they were so tender. I had the hamburger and it was your typical burger, I was satisfied with it. They have helpful and friendly staff. They do not take reservations even for large groups.”
