Clyde Cooper's Barbeque

Delicious, delicious BBQ. Don't ask for Western sauce, ye heathens. The Mac & cheese is just a little bit spicy, and it's ever so tasty. Service is great and they now accept credit and debit cards for payment. I recommend getting the pulled pork and friend chicken combo with fried okra and the Mac&cheese. If you're not from NC, be sure to order cheerwine.

I Absolutely love this place and the staff. The collard greens are excellent, the chicken is always hot and fresh oh and the hush puppies are wonderful. I could eat those all day. I used to go to another restaurant around the corner. Not anymore! Did I mention it's priced just right. So if you want to grab a snack or a meal, try Cooper's ????

I go with a group of former co-workers to sample local BBQ places; Clyde Cooper's makes it onto the top shelf. The chopped pork BBQ was good and the chicken was decent. The sides were better than average (I have to say the fried okra was the best I've had in extended memory). Prices were good, wait staff super friendly and responsive, and the crowd much more manageable than I expected). Excellent lunch place!

Top lunch spot. Quick service and staff are always great. Best fried chicken hands down. Pricing is fair and quantity of food is plentiful. They used to not take cards but have since started I heard. Great casual easy lunch spot.
