This is a place you can't really go wrong. It's a very traditional, yet very trendy place. The food is great, and the menu rotates, but the always have great food. I highly recommend the macaroni au gratin. Be mindful of the busy times, when the wait can go somewhere around 2 hours.

I always walk past this place and see a long line and to be honest I thought it would be overhyped. A lot of the nicer restaurants in Raleigh have mediocre food at a high price point.

I went here for brunch and I was impressed. All the food I tried was flavorful, and not something I could easily make myself. It really feels like they put effort into each dish.

The only downside is that the portion sizes are not very big and the food took a bit long to come out. To be honest I was a little hung over so it probably felt worse than it actually was.

I would definitely go here again. Just not when I'm starving. ????

The brunch menu was great, although we loved the look of their regular menu for the day and would have liked to try some of those offerings. Two of us had the shrimp and grits, so yummy. Another had the baked hot cake with blueberries and cream, also delicious. Our other meal was a pork shoulder cake which was enjoyed as well. We also ordered the angel biscuits with a delicious jam and fresh cinnamon donuts. The only complaint was the noise level. It was loud until many guests left since it was close to closing after brunch. We will definitely go back to sample their regular menu.

A bit pricey but worth it. Menu is on a chalkboard and limited and still had a tough time deciding what to have. Everything ordered was great! Good combination of food, spices and sauces. Highly recommend for a special occasion night out. Great bar as well.

Great find in Raleigh. Very warm and unsuspecting diner style restaurant. food was delicious and the atmosphere and service were amazing

1945 diner with a major upgrade on the caliber of the food. While Diner describes the warm nature of the staff and atmosphere the food is that of a well trained chef with local flare. Don’t miss this Raleigh gem
