Poole'side Pies

Such a genuinely nice group of people that work here. Jack was my server and he overheard me telling my sister in-law about anniversary plans I was making with my boyfriend. Jack to took the initiative to get us reservations at their sister restaurant, Poole’s Diner. Jack even made the staff at Poole’s aware of our plans so that they would have champagne ready. Such an intuitive and kind person. This place is the best!

Fresh looking spot with a poolside theme. Tried 4 different pies and couldn't decide which one I liked best because they were all so great. The crust was not soggy as a few other reviews described. As this is a new restaurant they must have been working out some kinks. Very impressed with the service. They had plenty of staff on a busy night and everyone is obviously well trained. Pricey.

Definitely a new favorite pizza place for us! The space is cool, open, clean and bright! The food and drinks are truly authentic Italian! You must have the meatballs as a starter! The pizza taste amazing! The flavor was everything! You will not be disappointed. We had an amazing experience with our waitress, Maegan! We will be back!

It was OK. The toppings are good, but the crust was wet and somewhat floppy. However, I understand crust is a personal preference so you have to make your own decision on that one.

The server was very extremely attentive (our water glasses were never any less than half full) and incredibly efficient, but the service was merely ok in the end. The server's manner was a bit too colloquial for my taste, and it came across as more dismissive than familiar. Again, to each his own.

My super fun party of four visited Pooleside Pies last night and we loved it! Although, it’s no surprise that this is a top-notch, super hip and fun place to stuff your face because all of the AC restaurants are equally awesome. Our waitress, Maegan R., did a great job explaining the menu and letting us know they had one of our Raleigh-favorite drafts ready to pour!

I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking to have a fun night out enjoying some awesome pizza! Can’t wait to go back and try out the rest of them! Which leads me to my final point.. if you guys ever need someone to taste new flavors.. I could make myself available. I’m talking to you, Ashley! :)
