They’ve disappointed me a time or two over the years, but always made it right. “I recently hosted a Family Reunion (30-40) at my home. Carolina Barbecue of Garner was the caterer. I gladly give them a 5 star rating because everything went perfect from the initial contact with the caterer to the time the food was delivered. It arrived at the scheduled time, was well prepared and hot. There were some items I was not expecting, i.e. ice for the tea; and an appetizer. The guests were extremely pleased with the food and asked for the name of the caterer, which I was pleased to provide. THANKS, CAROLINA BARBECUE for a job well done, and for helping make this Family Reunion a great success.”

“Our family loves LC and the one on our side of town closed so we come here. Lately the employees have seemed to slack off. I say this because my husband and I swapped out waiting for our food so I could take the kids to the car and he watched the employee at the front counter give away our order. When he asked where our food was (because people after us had come and gone) he watched said employee go tell the on shift supervisor that she gave away our order “because the lady left.” They immediately parceled our other orders to make up for ours but I don’t know what happened here because a few months ago this place was busy and bustling.”

“I've been coming here for 10+ years now and always loved it. Have gotten to know the owner a bit and he's a super nice guy, always makes a point to say hi. The food is always great, even the salsa is usually top notch. Food is nice and affordable too! My only complaint would be that i've seen a lot of staff turnover over the years and service has at times suffered with this. Still a great place to go and eat always.”

“I live very near this restaurant and it is my favorite place to eat. The food is fabulous, and the chef is incredible. They do not even keep a freezer on premises, as ALL food is prepared fresh daily. The Babaganoush is fantastic, the way he mixes the hummus with fire roasted eggplant. Exquisite! I have had nearly everything on the menu, and am continually surprised with one delicious dish after another. Such a polite wait staff makes for a warm and inviting atmosphere. Also, I am a musician and can attest to the quality of the music. Just right! For such a small town like Garner, we are extremely fortunate to have this restaurant. Raleigh, eat your heart out. I’m eating at Alexanders. ????”

“This place always looks packed & busy from driving by; the outside seating (in good weather) seems to be busy w patrons eating, socializing & playing games so we gave it a go. The food here is great - stop in for a quick bite! We ordered the sampler apps: mushrooms, jalapeno poppers & loaded skins. All 3 were well-made, served hot. The mushrooms are not heavily breaded (*not the biggest mushroom fan - these are excellent). We ordered the Dry Rub 20 piece Chicken Wings. They gave us way more than 20! I'm not sure if they made a mistake or if they just "eyeball" it... but we took 13 home after eating our fill... These wings are great! Served piping hot & juicy! These are BIG wings, not the little, bitty wings some places put out. 4 stars based on today. I'm going to stop a few more times & update as the experience is a bit broader.”

“I live in Clayton and I drive all the way to this location in Garner because it’s better than the Chinese restaurants in my city! Order is never wrong. Chicken is always fresh. They know how to cook the breader on the sweet and sour chicken without over cooking it and making it hard and crusty. I think they put MSG in their food which makes it super tasty and super addicting! That house fried rice is to die for!”

“My favorite fast food place in the area. We are vegetarians so finding quick food can be a challenge, Taco Bells are one of the few chains I know we can always find something at. The service at this one is always very good, the servers and management is friendly and helpful (above and beyond IMHO for anyone working regularly with the public). We have had mistakes on our orders a few times (which again, being vegetarian I have somewhat come to expect at least periodically), but they always fix them and make it right, and are always friendly and apologetic about it. Highly recommend!”

I didn't have the buffet, but that may be worth it for the undiscerning individual who wants a lot of bang for their buck. “I enjoyed it more than I thought I would! The service was quick, the food was good, and the service was with a smile. Like most "ethnic" food, don't walk in expecting standard fare. I got the tamale, soup of the day (well, every day - it's the same soup), and a salad. The salad is a regular old iceberg salad, nothing to write home about. The soup is served with a very flavorful thin broth and was teeming with vegetables. It was more like something you get at someone's mother's home rather than a restaurant - I liked it. The chicken tamale was good. It left me wanting more meaty filling, but it was satisfying. I'm not a big eater, so the trip filled me up quite nicely. If you are looking for something different than your standard Americanized fare, give it a try.”
