“The Canteen is a great restaurant in the Lobby of the Rhodes Motel. The seating options are diverse. They have a bar with seating, long tables for groups, single tables for couples, outdoor seating with heaters, and an upstairs reclined seating table with a view out over the outdoor patio. I had the Wagyu burger which was cooked just as I ordered. They have an option for a gluten free everything bun for the burger that is not on the menu. The sweet potato fries were delicious. The Canteen would be a great place to come for a casual night with friends or for a quick stop for a bite to eat.”

“Love this new Greek spot. We had a gyro with Greek salad and one with fries. Everything was so delicious, the fries were perfectly seasoned, not overly salty like others have said. The decor is beautiful and the owners are very kind and friendly. We have enjoyed high country Greek over the years, so excited for Greek food in town!”

“Great Inn! Cottages look cute. I stayed in a 2 bedroom 3 bath suite. It was Awesome! It had a small kitchen, and bar area with small refrigerator/freezer and wine fridge. Huge deck with a view! Bedrooms were at opposite ends of suite. Beautiful living room with gas fire place, dining room, and breakfast area. Huge windows. It was like being in a treehouse! It was easy drive to hiking trails and vinyards. I went to see several waterfalls and did some wine tasting. Staff was warm and friendly, very accommodating. Only negative is pillows were flat, I like fluffy pillows. I can't wait to go back!”

“We have been wanting wings for the last few days and I don't say this lightly. These are absolutely The Best wings that I have ever had!! They are a great size, moist, tender, crispy and cooked to perfection. The homemade ranch and blue cheese dressings were a great complement. The french fries were great also. I think next time I will get 2 orders instead of sharing! They are located in a food truck, you can look on social media to see where they will be or actually we called and they actually answered. What a great business. I really am looking forward to our next visit.”

“New modern Pizza Hut. Pizza was okay, but not exceptional. Salad bar was good, but could have used some attention. The wings were at best average. The waiter that we had was very poor quality. He never left any straws and I had to go and ask for them (we needed them since we had kids with cups that had lids). Once the food was delivered, we never saw him again. The other tables had a different waiter and she did service her tables to an acceptable standard. I am usually a very generous tipper, but not this time.”

“Howard Station Bar & BBQ was seemingly the only restaurant in downtown Boone that wasn't packed on a Friday night- and what a shame! Everything about our experience was excellent. The food was fresh and tasty (my brioche bun was so warm and soft it was nearly falling apart, and the mac was just heavenly). Awesome drink specials. Great atmosphere. Everyone on staff was friendly and attentive. This place deserves more hype!”

“Absolutely beautiful! Went at night and they have a really nice fire pit with comfy seating. Plenty of tables and chairs and a couch you can relax on. The downstairs bar was VERY nice too. Doesn't seat a large crowd but doesn't feel cramped when busy. Everyone that works there is super nice and went out of their way to be helpful. An absolute must for a date night or small gathering of friends! Definitely will be going back! Next time I'll take some pictures.”
