The Royce

Devin the server was great. He suggested the Braised beef short ribs and man, that food reminded me of food cook from my Ghana. The salt and spice ratio was perfect! I commend the entire staff including the chefs and line cooks. Devin is a gem and his knowledge of the wine and food menu was perfect!! Folks go try them out if you are into good food with the rice spice kick. I surely will bring some friends and family back, I am a convert now..

We were impressed with the customer service of the employees with whom we interacted. Appropriately masked, the owner also greeted us at our table. The decor is beautiful. Had been to the Mexican restaurant predecessor and the transformation is surprising. We tried the spaghetti -Os as appetizer for the table. Sounds childish but definitely an adult dish. I suggest they rename it.
The cocktails were just one of the highlights of the evening. There were lots of unusual and really flavorful ingredients I never use at home. Some I had never seen before. We tried a Sidecar, Better With Thyme, Just Finishing Up and the house Manhattan. Worth the trip just for the cocktails.
We all had the short ribs. Highly recommend them. Large portions, nicely presented and braised til very tender. We will be back soon. This is definitely an experience place as well as a uniquely good restaurant.

My wife and I greatly enjoyed our evening at The Royce. The place is absolutely beautiful, the drinks were exceptionally well done, everything we tried on the menu was excellent, and they were beyond friendly and welcoming with a real air of professionalism and hospitality on display all evening.

Social distancing?? Not so much. Then again this Polaris mall located restaurant is "hot & new" and we came on a Friday night.
The modern interior is beautiful. Puts you in the mind of fancy restaurant. The focused menu, not so much. Salads, appetizers & sandwiches, with some twists, dominate. A few entrees and enticing desserts round it out. The apps & sandwiches were a hit (despite my ordered medium rare hamburger was served medium) The short rib entree was not. Flavors & grits good, meat tough & chewy. Oh and the Cocktails were a smash.
Staff wore masks and hand sanitizer is provided at the entrance. There is a "4 season" section with floor to ceiling windows. Recommend you make reservation and ask for outdoor seating on the patio. They have a perfect table off to one side for a party of 6 or more.

Visited while less busy and got amazing costumer service and got to meet the owner. The atmosphere is great and they take pandemic safety seriously. While i have had better versions of some of the food items, all of the food was good and paired very well with the sides they came with (pork belly with corn salad and salmon with black eyed peas, miso butter, and sweet tomatoes). I normally prefer to judge a new place based on a dish that I'm familiar with, but i wanted to try out some different things tonight. I'll definitely be back to try out some more of the menu.

While i stepped out of my comfort zone food wise, what really impressed me was the dessert. The strawberries and cream was absolutely stunning and was both refreshing and comforting.

Overall, The Royce is definitely an experience I'd recommend everyone to try at least once.
