If you're looking for an adorable German Village restaurant with an upscale but unpretentious feel, look no further than The Sycamore. Starting with the cocktails, you've got plenty to choose from without worry about getting a weird variation on the cocktail you really wanted. As for the food, it all looked good but didn't blow me away aside for the charcuterie board which was incredible. The lobster roll was okay and the beef cheek poutine was singularly flavored... Not bad by any means, just not very diverse in terms of flavor. The wait staff was perfect and was one step ahead every time they stopped by. I'll definitely be back as I hear their happy hour is even better.
Nice atmosphere, tasty food. Only thing I would suggest is making the $12 cocktail more cocktail and less ice.
The Sycamore is a great neighborhood restaurant to visit. The price point is more than others, BUT YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. I have yet to have a meal that wasn't fantastic.
Really great food. Quite impressed. Had a scallops special that was lovely. The place is an old house converted to a restaurant in a lovely old neighborhood. Very nice.
One of the best restaurants in the city. The menu is amazing and has something for everyone. I've taken family, dates, business partners here and celebrated birthdays and promotions and engagements...everyone is always impressed. The staff is amazing and Andy, the GM, makes everyone feel so taken care of. Also literally the best single menu item in Columbus- Their Banana Tartlette. I don't even like banana and I have to get it every time I come, even if it's happy hour.
