“The food was good the chips went really well with the burger. I got the build your on burger and I would really recommend it. My cottage cheese was good. My Oreo milkshake was amazing unlike steak and shake there were small chunks of Oreo on the bottom of the milkshake. Bathrooms were clean and smelled good. This might sound like a no brainier but the Sprite was good and carbonated correctly. The chips weren't off brand and we're decent without the burger. The gift shop is good and has everything you could imagine. The only thing bad is that there is barely any salt and pepper in the salt and pepper shakers. Overall it's a 5 star experience”

“This is a very good BBQ spot. It's a trailer, so it can (and does) move. I had the pulled pork sandwich with beans and a special-of-the-day broccoli salad that was absolutely amazing. Good fresh tea, good looking sides. Great service with covered outside tables. I'll be back. The homemade BBQ sauce was a nice blend of sweet and tangy. I got the brownie (nearly fudge) and it was good. Plenty of food for the price.”

“We have been in Mount Vernon for a while now and this is our first time at Cosmic Subs. The lady at the front counter is a gem, she adds a level if familiarity that is tough to find in a quick eat establishment. The food was amazing and the atmosphere was nice. The only thing I would request is less salt on the fries...it was intense, but otherwise if you haven't been here do yourself a favor..get on over. I wish we would have taken photos, we were hungry so no photo bombs by the sandwiches..the Reuben and meatball is what we had they were amazing. Great job and we look forward to coming back.”

“My wife and I was came here to eat for our 1st time. I must say I was pleasantly surprised. I have been to a few real 4 and 5 star restaurant's and The Alcove is up there and very affordable considering the how nice it is in historical Mount Vernon the decor was nice,and the service was what I expected for a restaurant of this caliber no less than excellent. But the food was the icing on the cake. I would tell someone who has never been here for a bit more than you would pay to go to Ruby Tuesday and a heck of a lot better go spoil yourself and someone else . It will be a evening to remember. I will be taking my wife here for her birthday next month ????”

“Brought a friend to check out the sauerkraut balls and sliders, and did not disappoint! ???? We came early, so plenty of time to ask questions about dishes on the menu. Amazed (since we are meat eaters) at how much we loved the homemade veggie sliders. Great flavor and texture. They serve real mac & cheese, too. And the homemade Kentucky pie was so fabulous I could only get photo of an empty plate! ???? It's really casual and comfortable dining. I felt at home there. I am stuffed to the gills. The portions are quite substantial. You won't walk away hungry. They have A BBQ Slaw Dog that sounds mighty taste, the hubby got the BIG WILLY'S BBQ Smoked Sausage and a side of baked beans, it nearly whooped him. He struggled with the second half of it, but he said it was so good he couldn't quit eating it to take it home. A really cool discovery for me was the coffee shop that sells fresh baked goods that is next door, yet a part of Road Hog Willy's. I just have to go back and try some of their fare. Come on folks, they are open from 11AM-7PM Tuesday thru Saturday, come give them a try, you will NOT be sorry you did. They have ribs on Fridays & Saturdays, too. You're gonna love 'em. No alcohol, so totally family friendly. No high chairs tho, so be prepared for that.”
