Manna Uptown

We had dinner here on a Monday to celebrate an anniversary. Food was great, but like many service industry establishments, Manna suffered from really poor service the night we visited. While the wait staff tried to be attentive, there were too few and too many tables with groups being served. Staff isn't trained to observe the floor and anticipate client needs... instead they chatted at the bar waiting for a large tables drink order to be filled. What could be an exceptional restaurant is mared by a bad service experience.

Overpriced for the small portions. No bread served. Limited menu. Upscale restaurant should provide plenty of water not in a small glass that needed constant refilling. Upstairs seats very uncomfortable. Everything was very average. Lamb had a overly sweet sauce. Beef was very fatty. Potatoes weren’t cooked. Could go on but it needs to get better.

Incredible meal - excellent ceviche and lamb as entree. Been a long time since I had such a fantastic meal in Dayton. Wine menu is top notch. Absolutely gorgeous restaurant and attention given to every detail.

Soft opening so the kitchen was slow.
The food was fantastic as were the cocktails.
The building is beautiful and I'm sure it will be great once they are open for a little while.
