“I was lucky enough to be able to participate in Submarine House Kettering's soft opening a couple of times back in March. Let me preface this by saying that Submarine House is one of those Dayton restaurants with a cult following that I do not understand. It's overpriced and I've never had great food through dine in, carryout, or delivery, from various locations. I've given it multiple chances and I just don't get the hype. But I was more than willing to give a new location a try, and try some new things. Our first night was a Sunday night. It was busy! Every table was full, there were multiple managers and multiple employees manning every inch of the restaurant. It was loud. Didn't bother me, except that I couldn't hear the server at all. I eventually realized that it was the server and not the environment. She was extremely soft spoken and we had to ask her to repeat herself every time she came to the table and said something. It took us a while to get greeted initially. They were busy, but with the abundance of workers, it was painfully obvious when we were just sitting there, employees in every corner, but no one helping us. The server did not bring us silverware or appetizer plates. Even when the entrees came, we still didn't have silverware. There was a long lull in between the apps and entrees. There was no sugar caddy on the table, (lemonade was ordered). We were not given a check at the end of the meal, so we pulled up the menu on our phones to see what our bill would have been and to tip accordingly. The food was great, but the service was noticeably lacking. It wasn't terrible by any means, but issues were noticeable. I'm so glad that we went back for a second night, because Monday was a completely different experience! They were noticeably less busy. We sat a high top in the bar area. A server greeted us before I had even put my purse down. She wasn't even our server, but was letting us know that our server needed a minute and she was going to start us with drinks while we waited. Both she and our actual server were great! Very knowledgeable, friendly, easy to hear. We got silverware and app plates right away. At the end of the meal, we were given checks for our drinks and a check showing what our comped bill was. Food was great for the second night, and this time the service took a huge step up too! Tuesday we sat at the bar. Another busy night! Every table was full again, but it didn't look like they had as many employees working. Seems that the secret of being able to walk in without a reservation had gotten around to a few more people. 😏 More great service. Made friends with some fellow patrons. More great food! One of my friends made a comment that the food tasted so much better on new, clean equipment. 😄😄 Being a Submarine House doubter myself, I also enjoyed the food more than any other experience I've had at a Sub House. The food was always piping hot and fresh. Our orders were accurate. The staff was friendly and attentive, (with the exception of our first experience). The entire place is clean, open and inviting. They opened to the public on March 30th. I took some photos of the place for those who couldn't make it to the soft opening. Most of the seating is in the bar area. Lots of TVs throughout. They have a small patio with a fire pit that looks really nice and a garage door that opens to the inside. I think that will be a really nice area in the warmer months. No outside TVs though, (yet?). There are outlets under the bar to charge your phone, but no purse hooks. 🤦♀️ (I was told later that there were indeed purse hooks, but I couldn't find them. 🤷♀️) Overall, we had a couple of really great experiences. It's kind of bitter sweet, because now I know the standard that Sub House is capable of and what they can actually do when they're giving it 110%. I really hope that they continue to give great service and that the quality of food continues at this level after the newness of the restaurant wears off. Definitely my best Submarine House experience out of any other locations!”

“This gas station is great for disposable vapes, cheap drinks and fresh citrus fruits. Open 24 hours a day and also offers ice creams in a great big cooler next to the checkout. Good little store on the corner that helps you out any time of day, never had a bad experience here.”

“A wonderful new deli south of Dayton! Terrific selection of sandwiches, sides, drinks, and desserts. The staff is attentive, friendly, and energetic. We were greeted with a brimming smile at the door. My family and I split the Reuben sandwich, the pastrami sandwich, and the Mamzer. Not a bad sandwich among the bunch! We also ordered the chopped liver and a basket of fries. While I'm generally not a fan of liver, the chopped liver was a wonderful compliment. Finally, we split a coconut bar and an order of the rugelach. All were wonderful, but I do have a nostalgic place in my heart for the almond rugelach. Can't wait until the deli counter is open for some takeout. 💯% worth a stop!”

“Let me start with when I finally got my food it was DELICIOUS! Here is the but.... I stopped in for lunch with co-workers from another state and the Bartender kept telling me that the Pork Chop was Delicious so I ordered it....... The meal comes out 20 minutes later and all that arrived from my order is my side item, the waitress informs me that the pork chops are not going to be ready for... Are you ready?..... 4 more hours! But not to worry because they would rush my make-up order. I ordered the turkey ribs they came out after both of the people with me were completely done eating their food. One of the guys with me mentioned that the Pork Ribs were "possibly the best ribs I have ever had". The Turkey Ribs once they arrived were simply Amazing, problem is I didn't get to eat the complete order because of the time crunch. When the bill arrived I was still charged full price and didn't even get an apology from the owner.”

“Neat little place in the historic part of downtown Miamisburg. Has quite a nice array of Cajun food offerings, at a reasonable price. While the food may lack complete authenticity, it is mostly well flavored. The jambalaya was the best of what I'd tried, with the gumbo being a bland rice and chicken soup (adding hot sauce helped significantly!!). A toasted bread on the side would add a tasteful balance, and allow one to soak up the liquid, sauced based dishes. Although not filthy, the well worn entry mat, with rolled up edges and the ceiling fan with Halloween level cobwebs hanging from the fixture, gives an overall dirty appearance. Overall, a nice little family owned place.”

“We had dinner here on a Monday to celebrate an anniversary. Food was great, but like many service industry establishments, Manna suffered from really poor service the night we visited. While the wait staff tried to be attentive, there were too few and too many tables with groups being served. Staff isn't trained to observe the floor and anticipate client needs... instead they chatted at the bar waiting for a large tables drink order to be filled. What could be an exceptional restaurant is mared by a bad service experience.”

“A wonderful atmosphere, dedicated staff, and delicious meal. The smell of the wood fired oven fills the restaurant, and is lovely. Upon entering you place your order at the register and then head to a table. Before our meal came we were served olive oil cake, which I had never heard of, but I greatly enjoyed the subtle almond flavor and light texture. I ordered their signature Sugar Guild Breakfast which is a great way to sample different offerings. I substituted the over medium eggs for their herb eggs. The biscuit was obviously made from scratch, and served hot and fresh with their excellent gravy. The potato had a dark, crispy exterior and nice crunch that contrasted well with the soft interior. The egg was light, and fluffy, flavored with the herbs and a nice hint of smoke. And then the bacon was last. It has a sweet coating, and was slightly crunchy, yet soft and pliable which I feel is the perfect cook on bacon. All of it was great, and I will return for more. My girlfriend ordered the oatmeal. It was shockingly large at certainly more than a liter of oatmeal and almond milk piled high with strawberries, blueberries and brown sugar. She said it was the best oatmeal she's had, and such a generous portion.”

“The bourbon chicken is great! Found them at the pumpkin festival last year and had to mark their address so we could visit- it is that good. My husband likes his with their red beans and rice. I got mine with Cajun potatoes and green beans. I didn't care for the green beans- tasted like too much vinegar to me. 1st Photo is a large bourbon chicken with potatoes and green beans. 2nd is his with red beans (delicious!) And spicy rice. Update 9/2022: same great bourbon chicken! Great with the spicy red beans and rice. Worth the drive from Columbus.”

“Store just recently opened up and let me say I am impressed with how well the staff was trained. Everyone I spoke to was very friendly and extremely helpful. The customer service was top notch for being such a new store. Will definitely be making a regular stop here for my lunch or dinner. Lots of subs to try and they are all extremely yummy.
