“We returned to Talahina after roaming the trails around town. Were not hungry but I happened in TaliMena Mercantile. It is a very lovely little restaurant and the owner offered us a meal. I told her we weren’t hungry yet and as she was getting ready to close we regretted not being able to eat there. She wrapped up a stuffed pork dinner for us for later along with a pineapple upside down cake. It was delicious and pricing is very reasonable. She was very gracious and then opened up her gift shop where i found gifts for family. As I said, she was actually closing but took time and made a great impression on us!”

Food was the best I've ever had at a bar or even most fancy restaurants. If you drop in bring an appetite and order the Triple-Doubler Burger. “It is a small family run business that has several well kept rooms that are available for rent by the month or just for the month. They have an ATM machine.The employees are always very nice whether you are a regular or new customer. It is always a nice place to sit at the bar, drink the coldest beer in town, and strike up a nice conversation. They have a new jukebox with a wide array of music. Only 1 pool table but heck, no one minds taking turns on it because you always have some to talk to while you are waiting your turn.”
