“Daylight Donuts is located across the street from Braums just south of the intersection of 129th and E 31st St. The owners are so pleasant and caring. They pay special attention to the little ones that visit and they always leave wearing a smile ☺. Featured on the picture below is the Infamous Pine Cone Donut but the Apple Fritters and the Cinnamon Rolls run in at a close 2nd and 3rd! They also offer hot sandwiches and sausage rolls filled with cheese and or/ jalapeños. The coffee is always hot and the refrigerator filled with various cold drinks and milks. Last but not least bring the kiddos by to grab one of their creatively created Character Donuts! If you can dream it up they can skillfully draw it on a soft, moist, delicious Donut! 😋”

“I’ve been eyeing this place for awhile and finally gave it a try. They offer a wide variety of dietary options to fit all needs like keto, vegan, & gluten free. There are brownies, cupcakes, and other little desserts sold in the case. We tried the Salted Caramel, Boston Crème Pie, Peanut Butter Cup, and Vanilla Beanie. Cupcakes were amazing and the cake part melted in your mouth, it was so moist!”

The women here at Shawkat’s take you through a whole mind, body, and soul experience within the first footsteps you take into their restaurant. The smell grabs you by your nose while the eyes follow when watching these beautiful women prepare everything from scratch. And yes EVERYTHING !!! “I just went here for lunch today 2/20/2020. I could tell their usual clientele weren't young working professionals because it was a little difficult getting the lunch service completed in under an hour. I felt bad rushing the waitress for a ticket and for check-out, but we have to get back to work, not chit-chat for several hours! However, the food was pretty darn delicious. I had a fried green tomato BLT and it was probably the best sandwich I've ever had. Wish I would have thought to just eat the fried green tomatoes as an entree because they were that good. The homemade chips were delicious also, and they gave you free ranch dipping sauce without having to ask for it, because in Oklahoma we dip everything in ranch. The bread pudding is made to order, so be aware, we ordered it when we ordered the food and it was fresh and hot and yummy (Although a little heavy on the cinnamon for my taste). Plan on spending about an hour and a half and just enjoy the experience when you have time and get the freaking fried green tomatoes.”
