“Small cozy dining room with a nice sit up bar and a wood fired pizza oven blazing in the kitchen. There is a bit of an earthy feel to the place with natural wood tabletops and their sausage is boar and elk meat. Wooden carved mushrooms out front add to the ambiance. Wood fired pizza was good and feeds 2 to 3 as they suggested.”

“As a Midwest native, I'd like to think I know decent BBQ. After moving to Portland 2yrs ago, it was hard to find places that reminded me of the stuff I grew up on. I sat at the bar where Ben and Lizzie were fantastic at guiding me through the menu and the small but incredible beer selection. I was generously sampled a beer I was curious about, and the service was attentive despite how busy they were. The BBQ sampler was excellent, and served with a proper slice of white bread - as it should be! Another hint, pay the dollar to try all 3 sauces. This place is absolutely worth a trip even if you aren't planning on hitting the mountain.”

“The staff is very warm & accommodating. We had a pizza as well as soup & salad. Everything tasted great. The large pizza can easily feed 5, probably 6 people! There were a couple of minor drawbacks here: the men's room urinal didn't flush, and the metal dividers in there need some attention. Also, they serve Coke products. The Root Beer was good, though. I shall return.”

“This is a great place to stop on the way to or from Mount Hood. I usually get the burger, but all the food here looks really good. They even offer some take out packages for larger groups, which would be great to take on a trip. We also had the homemade lemonade, which is available in a variety of flavors. Lastly, the desserts here are great. They had six desserts available when we visited and it was hard to choose. We ordered two and the whipped cream topping on one of them really stood out.”

We shared a 1/2 Kodiac 1/2 Papa Bear pizza and some hot wings. This is the best pizza I’ve had in years, and the best in Oregon hands down! The sauce, seasoning, meats and crust were all amazing. The pepperonis were those little delicious ones that kind of curl up on the edges, too. The wings were super flavorful too. Staff was very friendly too. Oh yeah, and if you run into their regular names Bob, he was a good time to talk to too!”

“Sandy family restaurant and Rea’s bar is a great place to hit up in sandy. Have all the hats you need to fit every head that walks into this joint. They have good food to boot. Breakfast nearly all day, solid dinner line up too. During the weekend you can test your friends eardrums with karaoke. They have plenty of seating including those with A.D.A. Needs. I personally like the friendly vibe of all the locals that know each other and say names out loud like the tv show “Cheers” when you or others show up. Rea’s bar has 6 video lottery machines and a pool table, 13 flat screens, a projector and nice screen for larger events and games. Sound system can bump yet they keep it at a good ambiance level.”

“This subways staff is always friendly. But I usually get the BLT sandwich which at every other subways comes with 4 pieces of bacon.. this subways swears it’s only 2 pieces. So I would have to pay extra for the correct amount of meat. I mean 2 measly pieces of bacon barley fills me up for a 6inch sandwich. Just shows how cheap the owners are on their pricing. Plus their tomatoes and always gross looking so I never get them. Probably won’t be returning due to the fact this is basically the only sandwich I get from subway and they want to charge me extra for the correct amount of meat.”
