“I should have read the last months worth of reviews before we ate. Seems like it's real up and down.(see below) The only reason for 2 stars is the pleasant staff. As for the food, don't bother. Better off across the road at the arches. 11 months since the last review. Came in tonight with a group that wanted to go here because it was close. Greatly improved. Chowder was good with lots of clams and everyone enjoyed their meals. Steak, fish, chicken, and biscuits and gravy breakfast. I read the recent reviews and 3 weeks ago they started training a new cook and the reviews have been consistently good ever since. Talked to the young man and he has never cooked before. He was a dishwasher who is learning from the best cook in the place. Remarkable improvement. The staff are still as pleasant as ever so with this change it will be a place to come back to.”

“Very fine Adobado burrito full of meat. Served to go in foil and paper. Salsa bar with peppers and pickled carrots. The hot sauces are the real deal. Inside of Chevron Gas store on the Southeast side of I-5. It was a huge meal and fast service. Great staff and music playing. Almost passed it from street, turn right at chevron and right again before burger King. Will stop again for that great flavor and heat.”

“Back again, absolutely astounding food! The owners, Jami and Ron Gettemy did this right.The kitchen was remodeled with two bathrooms added. The menu is eclectic and tasty. The poppers, yes, the poppers are superb with a toss of pork rinds on top for a nice crunch. Request the bacon jam -- a homemade concoction that serves as a side. Fish tacos (cod or ahi) not to be missed. The white cheddar burger and side of sweet potato fries was excellent with crisp bacon. The photos scream yummist on all we ordered. The front is a small restaurant-- the back a hidden bar. I suggest you walk the town and view the buildings architectural features and be sure to turn the corners.”

“We all know the place as something else so of course the building is beautiful. This place has a smaller menu with in my opinion good choices and a family run crew for hosting and seating. Not sure who runs the kitchen but whoever it is is a great chef. We went for a spur of the moment date outing and ended up at skoggs and it was a charming atmosphere with fresh flowers and lit candles. Very friendly young man sat us and was happy at our request to seat us in the bar area. We ordered a couple burgers (1 being vegetarian) and they were amazing! Fresh ingredients, cooked amazing, more gourmet than chain burgers and tasted absolutely amazing! The price wasn't unreasonable and the food you get is vary tasty. I really liked the woman owner and the young son that sat us but the husband and I assumed other son kind of gave us a different feel. It wasn't rude or anything just not as inviting and welcoming as them. It was just our impression and we have only been once and plan on going again so hopefully I will be wrong and will be writing a revision to this review! Don't let my first experience detour you from going because you will be mad you didn't eat the food there! It was a wonderful place to have our spur of the moment date outing!”

“Best pizza we have ever had. Extremely impressed!!! Very nice customer service. Ranch is really good and they keep their sauces and parmesan in the fridge so it's way better. The spuds though... They were not good. But for the people who do like them, the sizes are no joke! A medium spud is a LOT of spuds. Lots of seating, bathrooms available, lottery area. There are kids quarter slot machines, but each one is 4 quarters and the toys are not very good. They are getting all new arcade games and the room for that should be open very soon! So that will be something more fun for kids. Give this place a go, at least for their pizza. The one we got was a garlic white sauce, sausage, pineapple, mushroom olives and fresh diced tomatoes. Couldn't have been yummier! Happy eating!”
