“My name is Kathy and I am responding to a review written by David Grissom on 4-11-15. First, let me start by saying I am one of the employee's that work there and I have been employed by Greg and Michelle for almost a month now. Second, I will tell you I am 36 years old and in my entire work history I have yet to work with such down to earth and reasonable bosses. I just want to say that this "manager woman" you were so quick to put down with your judgement's, has has a long career in restaurant management before her choice to work with subway. I do believe that in all those years you would find that most of the people that had worked for her still hold her in high regard as a person of integrity and a lovable spirit. This day you speak of may have been what you call a breaking point of constantly letting these "poor employee's" continually disregard the thing's that have been asked of them.....the things they are paid to do. I understand that you may have just been writing what you think was wrong with our management but anyone who has any experience in this field would know that before you post something so harsh that maybe you should wait and take a deeper look because what she does...what they both do (the owner and the manager) is not an easy task. My opinion, for what its worth, is they both do it very well and always do their best to be respectful and kind in doing it. They both are there working right beside us, just as hard....even harder because they want this buisness to be a respectable and desirable place for the customers that come there to spend their hard earned money. Nothing wrong with that in my book and if that means they have to, sometimes, remind the employee's (whom by the way, should not have to be told a hundred times what is expected of them) a little harshly (instead of just firing them or having their customers they value so much coming into a store that is not properly kept up) Then so be it. I love working for them as most of the employee's would say. We are all sorry that you had to hear that and she would never want her customer's to hear her rep-remanding an employee but the store is small and it was even done behind a closed door. I hope this is not something that will be held against her because she is such a wonderful manager and Gary is such a wonderful owner....thank you”

“Super tasty elk burger with a shot & a beer were just what I needed, and the atmosphere was great. Nice group of people, both behind the bar and on the pool tables. Cave Junction has a great local bar here.”

“We heard a rumor that the Chateau would be shutting down for a couple of years for needed renovations and decided to visit before it closed. We booked with other friends and made reservations for dinner. What a pleasant evening. The service was over the top. Even made a fire in the fireplace for us. We entertained ourselves (and probably everyone else in the lobby) playing Pictionary. It was great to be unchained from technology for the weekend. I was told the current leaseholder for the Chateau will not run the hotel when it reopens in two years, it will be taken over by a corporation. I hope the new company will keep up the exemplary customer service. On a slightly negative note...the mattresses were horrible, and the couple in the room next door never turned their light out, so light leaked out into our room. My husband and I kept falling into the center of the mattress. The room was very cold and under the blankets I was very warm. I could not get the temperature just right. Slept horrible, but the whole experience was amazing.”

“We enjoyed a good dinner here last night. We had Jalapenos poppers and hubby had a burger. I had grilled fish, cod, over a bed of rice with some seasoning in it, a good tasting chunk of lemon, and tarter sauce. The side of Mac salad was good, squirted some lemon juice on it and it went up a level to great. The crispy thin sliced carrots in the salad were refreshing. Thanks for a great meal and hope you a wonderful birthday yesterday.”

“This is a great family run burger stand. 🤤 the mushroom Swiss was delicious and hit the spot perfectly. I was passing through on a long drive and hadn’t eaten yet in the day so chose this spot and am so glad I did. If you’re nearby you need to pop in and get a tasty burger.”

“I've been coming here for years. I tried the Dragon's Gate when they were here, though they had a nicer aesthetic, the food was lackluster, egg rolls were heavy doughy things. Then I tried King's. Kung Pao chicken or shrimp are my favorites. So much better was Kings and I absolutely adore the the owners, Anthony and Kitty. Yeah, so it doesn't have the greatest of atmosphere, and what do you call that color of enamel paint on the interior walls? So what if some of the interior furnishings may have seen better days, and maybe it's not that sparkling clean, but neither is my kitchen. One of the best places I've eaten only had a C rating. Their prices, quality and portions are a good value. Never had any issues other than their hours not always being consistent, which is where they lose a star for me.”

“We get street tacos and a few other things here every week. Really authentic and yummy! The guy who is usually at the register is always happy & nice, he even brings my food out to my car when it's done. Thankful to have them in our little town!”

“Chose this place to try a little something different on our road trip thru Cave Junction. They have lots of deli meats, meat snacks, country store items, and hot food. You can eat in or takeaway. The hot dogs were good, French fries were surprisingly super good and the potato salad was good - but be warned there are olives in it! We also bought some local honey in two flavors. Be forewarned, this place is not speedy so even if you’re ordering takeout, it’s gonna take quite awhile!”

“An epicurean experience of culinary delight, the likes of which you will find yourself craving more and more. Those with previous problems with addiction may find friends and family attempting an intervention. It's because they care, and because they have yet to expirence the succulent and savory flavors found at Pepper Don for themselves.”

“Great place to stop by for a bite to eat on our way to Oregon. Everything we got off the menu was exquisite -- it really is what they claim: "where the west meets the south to create a delicious taste in your mouth." Don't quote me on that. The veggie burger was great, especially with some Louisiana hot sauce, we also got some wings for appetizer and the kids size mac and cheese (both of which were also delicious, especially with the General Tso's sauce). The grilled cheese was as good as they come. The staff was very friendly and attentive, they made us feel at home. The bathroom was also pretty cool, there's chalk to write messages for the next guest. Would highly recommend and come back again. They also pick up every phone call (had to call them twice to confirm hours and location). Oh, and I think they were formerly The Funky Kitchen and now go by The Replay.”

“Good food, music and decor. When one orders chicken tenders(the menu says 3), and you are expecting normal size chicken tenders.. Well, as you see in the picture they are huge and delicious 😋. Worth the money. Also the potato chip breading is delightful. The owners are pretty darn nice too.”

“We were pleasantly surprised to find such a gem in Cave Junction like Carlos Restaurante. The ambiance, food and service were excellent. As Mexicans we are critical of Mexican restaurants and their authencity, but Carlos did not disappoint. Our whole family enjoyed themselves. Thank you!”

“AMAZING! We just happened to be driving by (not from this area) and it looked busy-ish and we said "let's stop here for lunch". There was no room to dine indoors at the time (noon on a very warn Sunday) so we at eon the patio which would have been nicer if the traffic noise wasn't so loud, but ok. It is what it is. Our waitress (Hope) was great! The menu was full of superb options and the prices were fair (especially after coming from a beachy-town in CA where the prices were so inflated). We had a breakfast with hamburg steak and coffee / and a vegetable panini with the side choice being french fries. Under $30 and we were full full full! Could not be happier! Thank you for the incredible meal and service Manu prices and selections valid as of Sept 2022”

“I love the idea of the establishment, with the kids and the kid friendly environment, they even had a walker for my son to play in! but the service is like .. non existent to say the least. We walked in and the girl clearly seen us as we sat ourselves and were tourist so we sat down expecting someone to wait on us or lead us in the proper direction, and nope! We waited for probably 10 minutes in complete silence and finally walked behind the counter and into the back room and apparently this is where your supposed to order at .. when theres clearly a sign that says "ORDER HERE" right up front.. So we order our pizza (in the back room) and she told us she'd be "up front in 1 second to get our drinks" we literally sat for 15 minutes and asked for our drinks TWICE and still had no drinks ! AND WE WERE THE ONLY PEIPLE IN THE WHOLE BUILDING! so clearly this is not a "being super busy" thing I'm not even sure how they keep this place open to be honest. But best of luck cuz I like the idea they have going and it seems like it could be a cool place if things were even close to a little more professional. I've attached pictures of when we were inside to show how there was literally no one else there and the last picture is of the back room where we had to order our food”

“Wild River Pizza & Brewery has THE BEST VEGAN PIZZA I’ve ever tasted! We ordered the veggie, and appreciated that they just let you choose 4 items to build your own. They use the perfect amount of Daiya cheese, which I don’t normally love, but I heard they’ve changed their recipe, and it was absolutely delicious! The crust is perfect, crisp and flavorful! Omni boyfriend raved about our pizza also. Great selection of beer, very friendly and helpful staff. Definitely don’t miss this place!”

“Stopped by for the first time for Taco Tuesday. We had the Carnicería tacos and they were amazing. Portions are great, service is great. The inside of the building is clean and cute. I wasn't able to get pictures of the inside because too many customers were enjoying their lunch. The parking lot is a bit odd. One way in one way out. Sadly it's not clearly marked. We will know for the next time.”

“Always good, always fresh. I’ve ordered a multitude of different things on the menu and have never once been disappointed. Their burgers are not frozen patty’s, they’re hand formed and fresh organic beef. Worth EVERY penny!”
