“My husband and I had an early valentine date night. We had heard so many people say this is the place to go for a nice date with the hubby and it was perfect! We had never experienced sushi and was very uneducated. There was no wait time at the door. Our server was extremely helpful and kind with our lack of knowledge. We actually ordered twice cause we didn't want to order anything we didn't like. We loved everything! I got the king crab roll with fish eggs on the side and then the 2nd order was with the fish eggs on it. Hubby ordered steak and lobster tail and then his 2nd order was more lobster tail. Everything was delicious! Then we ordered desert which I forgot to photo and it was yummy too! My two complaints are the pricing for the amount of food is high. The second complain is that the bathrooms look clean on the surface, but on closer inspection (the floor next to the toilet) was filthy. 😳 I was shocked with how nice the entire place was.”

“La Laguna is an exciting sports bar that presents as a more modern and higher quality sports bar than its local competition. The food was solid and the menu was unique if nothing else. The prices are a bit high on some menu items but this is seemingly reasonable for what those items are. I really enjoyed the tenderness of the meat included in the tacos as well as the green and red salsas which were both very good. The experience as a whole was unfortunately not nearly as good as some of the food we were served. We ordered the fried rice as it was unique and heavily advertised but it took around 15 minutes after the food arrived to get service to bring eating utensils. The TVs are everywhere, which is great, but the channels are apparently limited as they did not get the game we were looking to watch. While the inability to watch a game is a minor issue, the website menu is a bigger one as it is difficult to navigate, showing pictures of items and having something like 25 pages to scroll through and sub-par design in general. I will be back and recommend giving La Laguna a try but I think it'll take some time to improve their service and menu so that the whole experience is solid.”

“Staying near by on a work trip.. I was told by several people to go here and try the "Taco Pizza". The inside of the building is awesome! 👌 The walls are lined with old ammunition boxes. There is an upstairs and downstairs. Staff was polite and friendly. The effort here is put into the food. If you want a fancy place with overpriced shehtty food this place is NOT for you. The "Taco Pizza". Absolutely amazing, the crust is layered thin and crunchy. It tastes just like it is described.. like a Taco. Lettuce, Cheese, ground beef, tomato, onion and nacho chips all on top.. Only thing I would ask for is extra hot sauce because it was delicious. If I return to Hermiston, I will definitely be trying another one of there pizzas.”

There is however an issue that we had with the food that I got for my wife today. There was a big long hair Tangled throughout the chow mein. “Passing through the area, and was in dire need of some healthy, fresh food! (Protein bars and trail mix only get you so far) Enter Veg Out popping up on Google maps! Seems like kind of a hidden gem in a smaller town, but sure glad I found it! It was worth the detour off the highway. Not crazily overpriced, and you actually get a good amount of food. I enjoyed a steak salad, and was pleasantly satisfied after chowing down! I did takeout, but there were a few tables inside as well as seats outside. (I think one of the employees was chilling at a table in the restaurant on their phone, which maybe wasn't the best look, but the staff was friendly, and I didn't mind it). If I lived in the area, I would go here again!”

“Visited La Palma for dinner last night and will certainly be back. It is far from the best Mexican food I've had but it is well rounded and may be the best sit down spot for mexican food in Hermiston. The mole enchiladas were uniquely good in flavor but the sauce wasn't as thick as I'm used to. The flautas were crispy, the chicken wasn't dry and the guacamole was fresh tasting and complemented them well. The best part was that with such excessive inflation on most prices, La Palma has stayed around $10-$12 for these dishes. My one real complaint is that the rice was disappointing with solid flavor but some dry or undercooked grains that threw off the whole dish when I encountered them. My impression was that it was not freshly made and probably reheated and old rice. My experience was teetering between 3 and 4 stars but with better rice that could have been pushing 5 stars.”

“Undecided. This is what's left after taking out the 8 small pieces of chicken and adding it to the side of rice.. Hot and Spicy Chicken is the plate. Sauce is great. I guess it can differ depending on what you order..Quality was great. If you like a whole onion and bell pepper this plate is for you. This was not for me.. the buffet is closed due to Covid. “I almost don't want to write this review so this place doesn't get any busier. But let me tell you, Vero's Cravings is a new gem in Hermiston. Don't come here if you are trying to watch your weight because it is impossible to resist these tacos. I've already told my entire extended family so when they come to town I'm going to buy the store out. This is the type of place that would be on the old food network show with Guy Fieri, diners drive ins and dives where he finds random shops with incredibly delicious food. I hope this shop stays open and makes a lot of money. Don't miss it.”
