Shari's Cafe and Pies

Address: 13645 NW Cornell Rd, Portland, OR 97229, USA

Bakery Restaurant

“It’s a below average place to eat. Service was slow. This isn’t an Olive Garden or a Red Lobster so I don’t know why you’d come here and wait for an hour to start eating. And it wasn’t even busy to begin with. Honestly they seemed short staffed especially on a late Sunday morning/early afternoon which is a prime time. Which is why I am a little forgiving for the three stars. I never received utensils to eat my meal. Was never offered a refill on my beverage. The wrong order was given to us initially. But once we got our food it was delicious. They’re better than any Village Inn I’ve eaten at.”

Grand Central Bakery

Address: 12595 NW Cornell Rd, Portland, OR 97229, USA

Bakery Cafe Restaurant

“What a bakery should be. I’d love to see cakes and pies added one day, though. Fresh beautiful breads. Delicious pastries. Some favorites are the Blue Ribbon sandwich, breakfast croissant sandwich, and seasonal maple Danish. The staff is usually nice. It can be a little slow during busy times, so don’t rush.”

“Hadn't been in since 1998. Saw the owner and remembered him from the old days. Loved the place back when I worked nearby... still love it. Owner was glad I remembered it fondly...we had a nice chat. Made my day!!!????”

Cornell Farm Cafe

Cafe Bakery Restaurant

“What a lovely place! Between the shops, the grounds, and the charming cafe, it's definitely worth a stop. Ducked in for coffee between clients and enjoyed a yummy latte. Great customer service, too.”

Sesame Donuts

Address: 6990 SW Beaverton Hillsdale Hwy, Portland, OR 97225, USA

Bakery Restaurant

“Crazy delicious, and I definitely understand why it's known as one of the best in town. The kid at the front was very helpful and patient when I was deciding what to get. Went with the sesame, pumpkin spice, lemon poppy seed, and buttermilk bar. The sesame donut looks weird, but is MARVELOUS. Perfect mix of crunchy, soft, savory, and sweet. The icing they use is also not too drippy and not too dry--they've found a perfect balance. I was literally scraping icing bits out of my paper bag, like an animal. It's GOOD. I guess this place is a long time fixture because the kid told me his mom had actually worked there as well, 20 years prior. It's always cool to go somewhere with HISTORY! The seating is cute, and I saw fresh flowers on a couple tables. They also have adorable tiny donuts in different colors for 75¢. Perfect for little kids who might not finish an entire full size donut or anyone who enjoys tiny treats. He did forget to pack my pumpkin spice donut, but it was probably my fault for being too conversational and not checking my bag before I had to run out. Regardless, I will go back, and I highly recommend it to anyone!”

Shari's Cafe and Pies

Address: 7451 SW Garden Home Rd, Portland, OR 97223, USA

Bakery Restaurant

“I'm sorry to rate a 3 because I like to be more positive and have had several excellent meals at this location. We stopped in for Christmas dinner and of course they were over whelmed being one of the very few Restaurants open for a Christmas Meal. There were 2 of us for Dinner, and ordered the Holiday Dinners. One Ham and One Turkey. The Ham and Turkey were cold. Vegetables were uncooked. The potato's and dressing were almost too hot. Our waitress was very apologetic and wanted to please us. My thought was this is Christmas Day and who and how many didn't show up for work. Normally I will not frequent ANYPLACE that is open on a holiday but for health reasons this year I did.”

Village Inn

Address: 17070 SW 72nd Ave, Portland, OR 97224, USA

Bakery Restaurant

“I am the first time in the U.S. and from all the places where I have been this is actually the best ???????? salads have taste, onions have their taste, etc. I don't know if they order organic, but the taste is great. The only issue was with no napkins on the table and only one set of forks and a knife for two different foods. but besides that great place for mice price”
