“Has downtown McMinnville always been this cute? The cherry on top of the cute surroundings (with ample parking), is the Morning Thunder Cafe. The servers were hustling, yet super friendly, the patrons were all delightful, and the food was amazing. I had the basic breakfast and it re-ignited my love for breakfast. The bacon was perfect, the eggs were perfect and the homemade toast made me homesick for my mom's bread. So fresh, organic and lovely! Go here now!”

“The mark of a good restaurant isn't what they do well, it's how they handle things when they don't go as planned. I'm happy to say that Michelle and her staff at 1882 came through with spades when Eventbrite got the dates wrong for a ticketed dinner. Long story short, due to travel plans my family wasn't able to reschedule around the snafu, and instead of just refunding my money (which they offered to do as well) they made it an even more special dinner. So, thanks to Michelle, Sarah, Cassandra, and the 1882 kitchen staff (the food was delicious!) we had an amazing Christmas dinner with family.”

“We’ve been a couple of times, nice place and not pretentious. It has very simple picnic tables for large groups and booths for four or less. Burgers and sandwiches are great and moderately priced, 12-14 bucks. Beer seems good but, I’ve only tried a couple. Staff is attentive and friendly, which is really nice. Wait time for our group of ten was quick for a table and quick for our food. I’d recommend it above the overly pretentious brewery down the street!”

“Impromptu family dinner/Thanksgiving. Walked in without reservations with a party of ten, no problem. Party turned into 12 and they did an absolutely fabulous job of accommodating all of us. Food was delicious. None of us had beer, but we sure enjoyed the afternoon. Waitress was the best and staff was awesome to our Veterans. We really appreciate locals who make our hometown wonderful. “I was told by a barber two towns away, to go to this restaurant if I wanted high quality Farm To Table food. And I am very thankful. Making there own breads, and curing there own meats, they really do it all. Locally sourced, and then put together with love and skill, the from scratch foods are all you could want. Very friendly and knowledgeable service includes being able to tell you about where the food was sourced and how it came together. I will never forget my visit.”
