Nice enough place. Good decor. Food quite basic but well-prepared. Not pretentious. Very generous portions. Hamburgers are enormous. Generally, no problem parking across the street. It is taking forever for them to get a liquor license so BYOB. Not unusual for liquor license delay. Hope they make it. Used to be a restaurant. Then, a Subway. Now it's a restaurant again. Well priced to get the many tourists through the door.
I've been here a few times now and the food is always fresh and delicious. I have had a variety of menu items, including Maryland crab soup, the big fish sandwich, calamari, the beet salad (twice), the Ahi, and trout. My husband usually gets a burger but also had a steak once for dinner, which was cooked perfectly. This restaurant also has the absolute best fries in town, and the onion rings are amazing. We recommend Hoof, Fin & Fowl to all of our customers now.
Six of us went to a late lunch early dinner. We got crab balls and calamari as our appetizers. They clearly tell you on the menu at the crab balls are each 1 oz. That doesn't sound like much but they are all crab, no filler, and at seven or eight dollars for the appetizer they are totally worth it. The calamari and whatever sauce was drizzled on top was also very good. We all chose burgers. They were huge; almost too thick because I had difficulty getting into my mouth, but well worth the struggle. Every one of them was cooked exactly as we requested. The bacon was very flavorful. Honestly, 4 of us loved e ery bite of our meals, while the other 2 said they weren't overly impressed by the flavor. I'm still giving the restaurant 5 stars because I was personally very pleased. Additionally, our waitress was wonderful. I couldn't have asked for a more attentive, friendly server.
First time visit. Lovely atmosphere, clean, waitress was pleasant and knowledgeable. Small menu but plenty of options to choose from. Something for everybody. No gluten free options specifically, but options for customers with a sensitivity to gluten. Would definitely return.
