Marcus was the worker there when we arrived. The food did not take long to get to us. The price was around average for a filling meal.
We got the Mac and cheese with buffalo chicken which tasted delicious. Also the curly fries tasted similar to Arby’s. I got the hot pepper cheese balls as well. I felt the price was good for amount of cheese balls and like that ranch came with it at no extra charge. The downside of the cheese balls was that there were multiple with no cheese inside (not the employees fault). So I suggest they go with a different supplier for them .
Overall experience was enjoyable. User interface was easy access for ordering. It’s more of a carry out restaurant (no restrooms that I could see) but they still do have place to sit down inside which is nice. Even a picnic table outside where we enjoyed the weather today.
The name does not lie! Never had such a huge plate of food! And I especially loved the funnel cake fries!! Those are a hit for sure🔥 I also really do appreciate the outside it really stands out at night.
Pilez scratches a very specific itch. As someone who lived in western NY while doing my doctorate, the amount of garbage plates I consumed is embarrassing. Now living in Pittsburgh, it’s good to have a place for this very unique comfort food. Let’s be real guys- is a garbage plate ever the ‘best thing you’ve ever eaten’? (If it is, I’m sorry) the Mac salad? Delicious. The fries? Crispy to perfection. The portion size? Unreal. If you’re fresh out the bars or hurting the next day because of them, pilez has got your back. Also, hurray for a place in Pittsburgh that you can order food from after 9pm!
The best food in Rochester, brought to Pittsburgh! Honestly, even tastier than the originals. The cheeseburger pile was perfect for drunken indulgence after a night of partying. Woke up feeling better than ever!
