I was excited to visit Poulet Bleu. We were able to snag a table around 9:00 PM without reservations. The highlight of the meal was the beef carpaccio. It was outstanding! The other dishes (gnocchi, carrots, onion soup) were very good as well. We concluded with the chocolate souffle for two. We were quite full at that point, but couldn't resist.

My only complaint: while the server was polite and informative, he was constantly trying to clear our plates. We still had half the beef carpaccio left and he tried to take it away. It's delicious, of course I'm going to finish it! This continued through every course. We constantly felt rushed by Glenn. There were plenty of empty tables around us and it wasn't closing yet, so I'm not sure why he was rushing us. Despite that, we still enjoyed our meal and I recommend you try it!

Last night was an absolutely wonderful experience. Eating out on the patio was charming, quiet, and elegant. Started with a cocktail, and had amazing fois gras, escargot, steak and onion soup. Meal was as good as i have ever had accompanied with a fine wine that was recommended. The service was as good as i have ever had anywhere in the world. Truly an exceptionally lovely evening.

Wow! Not all the time you walk out of a restaurant thinking you had a good meal. This place is that kind of place. Nothing exotic about the menu, in fact rather simple, but what I tasted was so well orchestrated to bring out flavors without overbearing any of them. But moreover as a bonus the portions are appropriate, the service cordial and a pleasant and appealing venue. Here is my pro-tip: try the rockefeller oysters.

Perfect dinner, excellent service, delicious food, and lovely, tasteful decor. We made reservations and chose the table in front of the open kitchen. It was nice to see how seamlessly everything was paced and balanced. All the meals were executed flawlessly, everything was organized, clean, efficient, and precise. The portions are large and ample and filling. The wait staff was knowledgeable and friendly but not overbearing. The atmosphere was calm
and relaxing and I was impressed with the pacing...we never felt rushed. We sat to the right of the kitchen and never felt crowded or disruptive or displaced, it was pretty interesting to watch. This was by far one of the best restaurant experiences I’ve had to date in Pittsburgh. With or without the wine pairing (we chose cocktails) the food was exceptionally delicious. What an enjoyable and satisfying evening. Do NOT skip dessert!!!
