(September 17, 2021, 7:49 pm)Hands down, my favorite bar in Pittsburgh. Part dive bar, part locals bar, part hidden gem, part sports bar, mostly rugby, with a hint of rock and roll. Cheap drinks, bartenders are all friendly and welcoming - as is the atmosphere. The food is phenomenal and consistent. When in doubt... get the weekly special. Can't say enough about this place!

(August 28, 2021, 8:13 pm)My favorite bar in South Side, which is no small feat considering the competition. It helps that it’s tucked a bit away from the East Carson riff raff. Welcoming atmosphere, phenomenal food, food, great drink specials, extensive draft selection, and lovely bartenders. Of course their trivia night is legendary, but it seems like there’s always some kind of special event going on at Rugger’s.
