“If you haven’t seen the inside of this place, you’re missing out. The design is comfortable and classy, and I really loved the upstairs in particular. My husband had the three bean soup and loved it. My favorite was the carpaccio. Lovely cocktail and wine options, as well as a nice selection of beer. There were even a few non alcoholic beers on their list and I really appreciated that! I love seeing zero proof options on drink lists! Meg, our server, was attentive and professional. “One of the best Nepali Store in the town. I was greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere. The shelves were neatly stocked with a wide range of Nepali products, including spices, lentils, grains, snacks, sauces, and even fresh produce. It truly felt like a treasure trove of flavors from the Himalayan region. The store’s selection was extensive & catering to both everyday needs and specialized ingredients for traditional Nepali recipes. The quality of the products was exceptional. The spices were fragrant and vibrant the lentils were fresh and free from impurities and the snacks had that distinct Nepali taste that instantly transported me back to Kathmandu.”

The cooked grits with apple butter had a nice country flavor, and the fried steak was absolutely wonderful. My sunny side up eggs were cooked perfectly, and nothing was overly seasoned. It was nice to have clean, good tasting food, without excessive spices and overstated adjectives to describe the dish on the menu, as often found in restaurants today! The desserts looked amazing but I'm limiting my sweet tooth but I included pictures for others' temptation. I selected a turkey panini and was delightfuly surprised as different flavors came through each bite. This was more than just layers placed on bread, there was some flavorful artistry that left me wanting more. It may be easy to miss this little shop but I assure you that you don't want to. I opted for the outdoor seating because the indoor were bar seating only. What Nona Ilva lacks in size, it makes up for in flavor.”

“This is such a hidden gem of a local small business! The woman running the place today was so friendly, told us the story behind some of their product names, and let us sample a variety of things. They didn’t open until 3 pm today but we were there early, so we waited around outside until they did. We sampled all kinds of doughs and ice creams! We ended up getting 4 scoops and two pints of dough to take home, plus kettle corn. The price point was great for this quality of product. We live about 30 minutes away but will be back!”

If you like eating breading and not a lot of meat this is your spot ! I did enjoy the flavor but not worth the price once you really see how much meat you’re actually getting.
