“Have been impressed by Kettle Works each time I go there. I tend to realize more with each visit. It’s not just a spot for good food and delicious beers and cocktails. They have plenty of seating throughout, have dart boards, outside seating, clean and decent sized bathrooms, daily specials and the upstairs adds a while other layer to the place. Upstairs has art shows, yoga, stand up comedy and I’m sure much more. Check out their website to see all that they offer. Can not go wrong with stopping by and spending time here. “This place has been on our list for a while. We finally made it there and we’re so pleased that we did. The place was clean and impeccable and very comfortable. The staff were beyond helpful, and were attentive to our every need. Food was exceptional. The flavors were robust and layered. The flavor profile was enhanced in the sauces, herbs and spices used to draw out the flavor of the meal. We had the ahi tuna and duck comfit. Both meals were exceptional. The dessert was delectable- cheesecake and cream brûlée. We will be back.”

“What a great experience! I read other reviews about how friendly they were and how the food was good. Well it's all that and more. I went with my wife and son last weekend. We were greeted by "mom" as everyone called her and her son and greeted like they meant it because they did. I had fish with mac and cheese and collards. My wife and son had chicken with pineapple chili sauce and collards with potato salad. My wife loved the potato salad which is really high praise. I'll probably always get collards. I was glad they have a small menu One or two people in a small kitchen can't do 30 choices fresh but a half dozen choices with sides was over the top. I felt bad that we sat talking til 20 minutes after closing but we never felt unwelcome. If you're white like us and aren't sure about trying a soul food restaurant then start here. There's no white/black/brown inside their door just warm, wonderful people and lots of good food.”

“Best tacos in town. Kathy and Mark are lovely and so community centered. They always make you feel welcomed, like you're having a meal in their home. The walking tacos are awesome, generous portions and great prices. Meticulously clean and serve safe, which is important to me. Pick up only, no place to sit, which is totally ok and adds to the cool, quick vibe. We go at least every other week during the warm months and take our tacos down to the river to take in the view. One of my favorite places to eat in Columbia!”

“I love their cheese steak sandwiches. I add lettuce, tomatoes and raw onions. It had a very fresh roll, the steak meat was tender ( no gristle or fat) and the sauce was just the finishing touch. The sweet potato fries are great. Top your meal off with a fountain soda with a splash of flavor (we add vanilla). This is not a fancy place however I highly recommend it for a steak sandwich!”
