“This is one of my favorite subway restaurants of all time. Everything is always fresh and some of the same workers I met 5 years ago are still here. They have 3.99 foot long Tuesdays at this location only. The manager works really hard on this location and is clearly doing things and treating their employees right.”

While they don't have a very good food menu (they didn't have any food options really at all when I was there) the staff was friendly and good beers on tap. “I have been visiting this small quaint business since I was in the seventh grade in high school. Would always stop on the way home for a free pretzel. They are hand-rolled and taste meaty and hearth baked. I like mine some. Mass production of pretzels cannot come close to the wholesome Taste of Hammond's pretzels. they offer tours and convenient shipping. I'm surprised this shop is still in existence after at least 50 years in business, probably more. Parking is sufficient. Friendly staff. I I'm not sure but the last time I was there they did not carry Gourmet pretzels, not to say they don't produce them now. I remember the hardwood floors remain after all these years. it is a treat to visit this Backstreet shop.”

“The food was good, but not outstanding, and I thought a bit on the expensive side. I got the beef brisket. If you like tangy sauce you would like it. It was a bit too tangy for me. My wife liked her burger. We sat outside. The river and torches were nice but the road is close by too. Service was great. Got the Snickers dessert and it was good.”
