Was passing by on my way home from work and a banh mi was exactly what I was craving. I got the lemongrass chicken bahn mi and it did not disappoint. The bread was fresh, the portion was generous, and they did not skimp on the chicken. The fresh lime soda was really refreshing. The staff The was super welcoming. I will certainly be stopping in when I am back in the area.
A buddy of mine recommended this place. Menu is simple. I ordered the Chicken Banh Mi and added pate based on the staff's recommendation. The sandwich blew my mind. The bread is incredible, the veggies are fresh and crisp, and the meat was savory and delicious. This is a special place, and is one of the few destination sandwich shops I would recommend to people who don't live in the vicinity. Come here.
Did walk in take out. Sandwiches were prepared fast and fresh. I got a vegan tofu bahn mi and my hubby got the meatball. Both were great! Friendly service. Big portions. A welcomed addition to the neighborhood! Will be back.
So glad this place has opened in Ambler. The tofu Banh Mi was honestly so damn good. Marinaded in great umami and slightly sweet teriyaki almost flavor.
Blown away - I kept saying Ambler needed a Bahn Mi joint so when I saw the sign go up I was pumped.
Let me just say: ALL my expectations were exceeded. Service was great - the owner was so cool and kind. He seemed genuinely keen to get to know us and happy to have us in his restaurant. The atmosphere is hip and chill.
To drink I got the Vietnamese Iced Coffee and my girlfriend got the house-mixed lime soda. The iced coffee was sweet and dark and just a delight, and the lime soda was tart, crisp, and refreshing.
But the sandwiches… oh my lord the sandwiches. They brought it all home. The first bite you take is through crusty, pillowy baguette. Think of the best hoagie roll you can imagine. I had the pork meatball which had a great blend of spices that really gave the sandwich complexity. I love Bahn Mi!!!! And this is the best I have had by far.
I could go on, but to be honest you should just experience it yourself. Can’t wait to go back!
