Went here for lunch yesterday when I spent the day in Newport. The lunch area is scenic as it is right next to the water. Ordered the 1.25 lbs boiled lobster (picture below). Lobster tasted amazing; especially with the melted butter. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a local seafood meal in the area.
Lovely place and we went there to try out the lobster. Highly recommend all the items but absolutely loved the lobster roll and the soft shell lobster. There is another place next door that was selling lobster etc for cooking at home or campsite. Open until 8pm but call ahead before you get there as I saw on google it said closes at 5pm
When in New England Eat like New Englanders!
“We Only Cook the seafood we catch” and we can tell; amazingly fresh!
On the docks, very casual great ops for food.
Quick, Clean, Efficient!
Quick food truck service, with top quality fresh food. Had the lobster roll and was perfect. Found this place by accident and was thrilled as so close to our hotel. Make a point at finding this little place for lunch while you’re in Newport.
Buy lobsters right off the fishing boats here at Pier 9/Newport Lobster Shack. Dingy dock tie up right off the hotel at long wharf. The freshest you're going to find! This is a seasonal, in-the-rough outdoor eatery with seating on picnic benches. Purchase cooked food from the window of the food trailer. Great lobster bites, lobster bisque (really good), crab, lobster rolls, and other seafood selections. This is a co-op for all the fisherman on the wharf, so everything comes right off the docks right there. No liquor license for alcohol. Great views right out into Newport Harbor from this scenic spot right at the end of Long Wharf. Walkable from the Marriott and downtown area-4 minute walk. Open 10 a.m.-5 p.m. seasonably. Great place for to-go lobster, whelk (or what some folks might call conch), and crab to take back to your boat and cook yourself!
