The National Tap & Grille

The National Hotel Tap and Grille is an excellent place to get great quality food and drinks. Everything we had here over the last weekend of the season was top notch. Outdoor seating on the balcony is the way to go for enjoying your meal with a view out over the harbor and ocean, not to mention people watching. Fantastic atmosphere and very good service at a price that is quite reasonable. Highly recommended!

Excellent Buttermilk Fried Chicken Sandwich! Great Clam Chowder! Tasty Mixed Drinks!!! Caesar Salad was good. Swordfish Tacos with tortilla chips were alright. Service (Emily from Mass) was great, she was prompt, smart and knowledgeable about the food. She had a friendly demeanor about her that made us feel comfortable and happy on the last day of the season. Would recommend :) :) :) :)

Having dinner here made my day on the island. I was early (4:30) but the fish & chips were out in less than 10 minutes, and I probably finished it in the same time since it was excellent. The lemon-lime tartar sauce they provide is one of the best I’ve had. Coupled with shady outdoor seating and prime views of the harbor, it could not have been better!

Good location. Nice menu, great fresh seafood as you would expect. Patio seating has nice ocean view and people watching opportunities. Good service. Full bar. Food preparations were adequate but not great. Noise level was very loud.
