Magnolias

Excellent food. Had the flounder with rice and creek shrimp. My beloved ate the vegetarian dish. Both of us fought over the last pieces of the fried green tomato appetizer. Our waiter was good at his job and made our experience pleasant. Only gripe is that the place was packed to the walls and it was a bit noisy. But hey, the food is tasty!

Fried Green Tomatoes are out of this world!!!! Unlike any I've had before. It is a lovely quiet atmosphere with well trained servers in crisp white shirts and white beautifully set tables. If you just want an appetizer or cocktail you can sit in the bar area which overlooks the restaurant. You will feel special and relaxed dining in this establishment.

The atmosphere here is fantastic. Service is top notch. Food is to die for. Seafood Bouillabaisse was fantastic. Collards were some of best we have ever had. Can't go wrong with a meal at Magnolias

My family and I decided to come here for Father's Day dinner and I'm so glad we did because everything was phenomenal. I had the blue crab bisque and fried green tomatoes which were both the best I've ever had. My dad had the meatloaf and he said it was the best meatloaf he had ever had. The best part of our meal was the dessert. We ordered the white chocolate strawberry cheesecake and it was AMAZING. BETTER THAN CHEESECAKE FACTORY AMAZING. The service was exceptional and I can not wait to come back here again.

I highly recommend this restaurant. The prices aren't too bad considering you're eating in downtown Charleston. I ordered the catfish and it was exceptional. It's recommended that you make a reservation a day or two in advance especially if you're going on a holiday or weekend. Definitely somewhere to try if you're visiting and want a taste of true southern food.
