“I love this new spot! The food is awesome. Can't go wrong with any of their pizza pies, pasta, or desserts. Amazing staff...they make you feel at home, and the service is always on point. Plus, they offer some really great food and drink specials all week. I highly recommend popping in for happy hour, dinner with the fam, or even grabbing a pizza to go. You won't be disappointed.”

“We went to Empire Oyster in Charleston to taste different kind of oysters from the sixteen varieties they have on the menu that day. Evidently we couldn’t try all of them … They were fresh and the mignonnette so tasty without being too strong. The owner … or the manager, came to us with a sample for us to try, Smoked oysters… but raw! It was divine. We appreciated very much everything; the varied menu, the service, the freshness… it was a very good stop after a tour of this beautiful town. we certainly refer to all oyster’s lovers!”

“Best brunch/lunch spot in the Westside neighborhood with delicious food and wonderful people. Anything I've gotten from here so far – sandwiches, salads, sides, even the coffee – has been a great experience. For being in a smaller building, it's really made the most of the space: seating is available indoors as well as outside and there are a tons of goodies including merch, meats and cheeses, baked goods, and more. Parking can be tricky, but there are plenty of spots in the area and this place is certainly worth a short walk.”

“Do not miss stopping here. There are some crazy fun, delicious beers on tap. Jessie and Doug are amazing and have great recommendations for whatever your tastes may be. There's nothing local, I'd you'd like that, stop at the breweries themselves. They're just across the street.”

“We had the pleasure of dining downstairs in this new neighborhood jewel. Our server, Ashley, was knowledgable, friendly and overall excellent! She definitely enhanced our dining experience. The manager, Bethany, was a gracious host and greeted us during the meal. The food... OMG... ALL was EXCELLENT. We had the tuna tartare with avocado sorbet, the burger with frites, and the coulotte steak: ALL were superbly prepared and tasty! The Bordeaux wine was excellent, too. Cannot wait for the upstairs to open... hopefully next month. It is sure to be an overwhelming success serving this caliber of food! PK”

“A nice no thrills bar to grab a drink and hangout. The bartenders are very knowledgeable and friendly and know what they're doing. Prices are pretty good also compared to other bars in the area. If your looking for something more low key local and want to be able to hear the person you're with without needing to shout this is a good stopping point. There's also not as much of the college crowd which seems to be at many of the bars in the area.”

“Service was great. Twice now here, Bar is roomy and fantastic. Outside patio is enjoyable for sunny day brunch. The charcuterie board was great with interesting assortments. During brunch, the avocado toast, eggs Benny and chicken & biscuits were top notch. Various drinks were tasty. Will always be a favorite spot to come day or night.”

“Went on a girls trip to Charleston 5.14.21 - 5.17.21 and decided to go to the INK LOUNGE for our last night in town. We ordered 7 different plates for everyone to try something. The food was PHENOMENAL and the drinks were fantastic. The waitress was so sweet. I recommend this place to anyone who is traveling through the area.”

“We found this place a few blocks from our hotel when we were looking to have some drinks and watch the College World Series. We liked it so much we went back another night during our stay. The bartender, David, was great! One of the best bartenders we have ever had. Everyone there was friendly and we didn’t see anyone not receiving excellent service. The beer was great. The atmosphere is laid back. There was younger crowd there (we are over 40) but we didn’t feel out of place. I don’t think they offer food. We didn’t see anyone eating. If you need a go-to bar downtown, this is your place! It was one of our favorite places during our stay!”

“Service was great, food was average, and very small portions. One of those you had an expensive meal and are still hungry after you leave kind of experiences. Halls would have been a much better choice, it was a cool place to check out, but a one and done.”

“Loved our server Jeff. Wonderful menu. Needs to turn up the flavors a bit. The mussels would have been great if the broth had more seasoning and coconut milk. They were fresh and plump though. And bread should be complimentary with your meal in my opinion. We will try again because the menu is great.”

“This is everything I was looking for in quick but authentic place here in Charleston. There are no fancy tables or modern menus, get to what you need. I had the shrimp and scallops. They are fried in a light batter leading you straight to that fresh taste. Super fast service an a big portion. Don’t sleep on the red rice or the hot sauce. With all the fancy eating in this town, this is something not to be missed.”
