Tupelo Honey

The only reason this is three stars is because I have had good food here before. Today was awful though. Recently I had to switch to a vegan diet for a case study. I tried to order vegan but the waitress told me there wasn't a single vegan option and was no help. I then pieced together a vegan option by asking for certain things not to be included. They brought the food out with everything, I asked for off of it, on it. The waitress never came back to check on us so I was forced to eat only the small bowl of lettuce. After thirty minutes she comes back, doesn't comment on my untouched food, drops the check on the table, and walks away. Very unsatisfied and will not be recommending this to any Vegan clients. Definitely won't go back myself while the foods I'm able to eat are restricted.

We always enjoy the excellent service we receive here! My mother has a serious food allergy and has a difficult time eating at restaurants. The staff here is so knowledgeable about food allergies and are willing to accommodate her needs. The foods is always fresh and we love the classy take on southern food! We recently ate here for mothers day and even though they didn't have a special menu we enjoyed our meal very much.

Good food, comfortable modern atmosphere, delicious cocktails. It was extremely busy (and I suspect that's not unusual), so make sure you call ahead to reserve a table. Very reasonable prices and despite the crowd service was quick and responsive to our needs.

My only complaint is that there is a lack of vegan options available - plenty of items marked gluten free, but very little attention given to people with other dietary interests. What I did have was great, though. I'd openly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a pleasant experience.

Always a treat to come here. Food is flavorful, portions are big, service is great, and southern comfort food is my one weakness. Location is right in the heart of the city, so it’s an easy place to walk to if you’re already out and about downtown. Folks in South Carolina are so friendly, and the staff here embody that spirit. Please give this place a visit if in the area.

Tupelo Honey is truly wonderful! It was our second visit and we enjoyed it as much as the first. The food is yummy. We requested Alicia as our server again and she is delightful. Looking forward to our next visit!
