“Great atmosphere. Food presentation was exceptional but the taste was just okay. They have some amazing menu options. I tried the Shrimp BLT with waffle fries and iced tea. The bacon on the BLT was rock hard, so it was difficult to eat and I ended up picking it apart. However the shrimp was great. The waffle fries needed to be cooked just a bit more. The staff was friendly and efficient. The overall experience was still up there in the 3.5-4 star rating.”

“Decent, normal, casual, Mexican food. Pedro's just opened right around the corner from San Jose, inside of an old bar. I assumed that it would distinguish itself in some way, but it did not. This is casual Americanized Mexican food. You can get your usual assortment of refried beans, beef, chicken or steak, inside or on top of your usual assortment of enchiladas, tostadas, burritos, or salads. The taste was par for normal chain Mexican food. Not bad at all, just nothing to write home about. The chips did taste very freshly made, as did the guacamole. The service here was good. We were checked on by a few different people outside of our waiter, which was a nice touch to make it apparent they want you to have a good experience. Food came out quickly and our drinks were full the entire time. Overall, it's not bad at all, just could do with some personality to separate them from their neighbors.”

If you like a complete bbq meal with good meat choices as well as homemade sides this is not the place for you. I f your going to the football and half drunk just wanting something to fill your stomach the cock pit will do. The ribs were ok although I will state everything meat wise was leftovers as they only smoke/grill on certain days!!!! The lack of sides were the deal breaker on rating the cock pit any higher,limp fries and fried pickle slices from a freezer bag just dont do it for me. The baked beans were pretty good I will add.... ”
