“We dined here because of an event for my daughter’s sports team. It had been over 10 years since I have eaten here. I decided to eat from the hot and salad bar to better control my portions since it was late. There were a lot of southern food choices on the bar, mashed potatoes, rice, gravy, yams, green beans, tilapia, fried chicken, meat loaf and more. The salad bar didn’t have much on it but I was still able to make a good appetizer salad. The food I got from the hot bar was good. The staff was very friendly and nice. The store was clean. My daughter ordered a burger and fries. It looked plain but she said it was good. A couple in front of us ordered chicken livers but after checking with the kitchen was told the livers were bad and couldn’t be served. I was disappointed for him because I love chicken livers. The 4 stars is due to the bad livers. Other than that, I have no complaints. Even though I didn’t eat much, I don’t plan to return anytime soon because I’m not a fan of buffets and I wasn’t really thrilled with the menu options.”

“I know there are some less than favorable reviews on here, but I didn’t have the same experience. I was one of the first in the other morning, sat immediately, and my order was taken after I took my time to read the menu. Now it’s hard to get 5 stars from me on a breakfast, but I can at least be objective. They had items on the menu different than the other breakfast places in town. As the only one in the place at the time, I did have to wait a little while but I didn’t order my usual eggs & meat. My omelet was good and different—not the same ole thing, the grits were good, and that biscuit was amazing. Be warned, you’re not gonna get a $5 plate BUT I think you do get what you pay for in the quality & ingredients. Hopefully they can work out any bugs others experienced. I’ll be back.”

“When I came to this location, I was happily surprised with the quaint style of the store. While a small looking store on the outside, the inside is very spacious and homey at the same time. While seating is not available inside, it was easily labeled where to stand when ordering and while waiting. I was greeted by a partner named Alexander who was extremely cheery and we struck up conversation while I ordered. I was thoroughly impressed by this reserve store, as they have many options that most Starbucks locations do not have. Unfortunately I am traveling, so I may never see this location again, but if I ever find myself in Baxter Village again, I will be sure to stop by!”

“The new owners of the formerly-known Nova's Bakery of Rock Hill are SO friendly! They've taken this building and completely started turning it around as Mado Bakery and Cafe. Much cleaner, and the staff always have smiles on their faces. They haven't completely finished renovating inside yet, so their own pastries and desserts aren't out at the moment. But Odette, the pastry chef owner, has been trying out some crepes and cookies for the customers and they are DELICIOUS! I can't wait for the final product and to come back and enjoy some authentic and freshly made french pastries!”

“I've been here a lot for store purchases but never for gas until today.. Word of warning; the store puts a $76 hold on purchases for fuel in addition to your fuel cost.. I knew most stores do this on credit fuel purchases but not debit purchases.. They should at least advise customers of this hold because it could really put someone in a bad bind with their bank if their funds are insufficient.. I have no problems with this store.. Very friendly staff and very clean and organized.. Just educating people for fuel purchases.. I'm not sure if this happens with everyone but it just happened to me.. I guess results may vary...”

“The food was terrific. We started with the "Million Dollar Bacon" starter. Sweet with some back end heat. The we had a Wild Salmon Frittata and Farmhouse Griddle.. Both were very tasty, hot and fresh. The coffee is served in a carafe that is left on the table along with a bottle of ice cold water... Abby the server was super friendly and even though it was very busy, still very prompt with regular follow ups.... Parking is easy, there is even an app that can be downloaded that would helpful when checking in.... A new favorite in my book... many items on the menu sound great. A few dishes we saw coming out looked super good...”

“I had one of the worst airline experiences of my life yesterday with flight delays then missing my connection flight due to airplane mechanical issue only for the taxi driver to take me to the wrong hotel. Since I wasn’t able to get my checked luggage I had nothing for my overnight stay so walked to the Circle K on way to hotel. There was the kindest lady working there and was so empathetic to my experience. Just her expression of kindness made my night better. Circle K is fortunate to have employees that have a heart. She made a difference in my life.”

“It was lunch time and busy, I get that. But when the cashier seems to want you out of her face so she can help the next person in line, isn't very inviting. I felt like turning around and walking out the door. It doesn't take that much to smile and be friendly. Then we went and waited for our food. In a timely manner they called our name and in one swift movement put our food on the counter then turned around and walked away. This time not only did she not smile, BUT SHE HAD ABSOLUTELY NO EYE CONTACT WHAT SO EVER. To me that isn't good customer service at all. I don't know is if I would want to go back. Not good for business. Acknowledgement, a smile, eye contact, and being friendly goes a long way. What do they say " you get more bees with honey".”
