“As a boricua, you can imagine my surprise when I found out there was a Puerto Rican cafe right in my backyard. How did I miss this? I thought I was the only Rican here! With imported coffee coming from the homeland and coquí frogs decorated around their menu, I felt right at home. I can’t wait to show my other family members this spot when they come to visit. Not only that, but their coffee and baked goods are delicious. The coffee beats any other shops around, there is no bitter aftertaste. The pastelillos are flaky with the perfect amount of guava. My husband loves their quesitos as well. If you are an iced coffee lover like I am, the Stumphouse Tunnel or S’more, are an absolute must!”

“This is a small place, with limited seating options….BUT…. The ramen bowl I got didn’t stand a chance at a picture. It smelled too good and photos were the last thing on my mind. The ingredients are fresh and prepared to order. It was also the best ramen I’ve ever had, and I’ve had plenty. I got a shrimp ramen to die for. My daughter got a poke bowl with crab and avocado. We plan to stop back by on our way home to NC.”

“Went for the first time yesterday. My daughter had a procedure done, and wanted something cold and nutritious. Decided to try it and it was worth it. The owner was so welcoming and helpful, she was so nice. I got my to youngest the Death by Chocolate and Birthday Cake. Both were delicious!! My kids loved them. I got the Riptide. So good. It has a little sour kick to it, but it was so refreshing and delicious. We will definitely go back and try more flavors.”

“Simply put, the best KOA I’ve ever stayed at period. The campground has a great family run atmosphere, the grounds are perfect landscaped and neat. The staff clearly love what they do, and it shows from the moment you walk into the office. We stayed in a cabin which easily slept 4 adults and 3 children, it had everything we needed and more. The office had everything from pizza to wine! The natural beauty of the campground made it seem like you were miles away from I-95! We will be back!”

“I visited on a spectacular day the weekend after Thanksgiving with my senior parents who have limited mobility. We enjoyed a perfect day visiting the new museum, taking both the Gullah and the house tour as well as having a fantastic late lunch at the tea room. I highly recommend spending a day at this stunning property and learning from the well informed staff and owners. My parents were able to manage well enough on the grounds using a rolling walker and canes. The food in tea room was top notch, reasonably priced with pleasant service. Enjoy a day stepping back in time and learning about the history of the plantation and people who left their mark on this land.”

“This resort was awesome. I just stayed here in March 2022. The pool is heated and does offer a hot tub. This place is oceanfront and has direct beach access from the resort. Beds were very comfortable and well-made but the only complaint that I had was the furniture was a little out of date nothing major. The unit was very clean and has two smart TVs in the room. Security is always on their toes and it makes you feel safe along with a secured parking garage about a block away. The host of this particular condo was very responsive to messages and answered any concerns that I had. Walmart is also a five minute drive nearby. I was very well pleased with my stay here and will consider staying here again.”

“Other Lands is one of the best breweries I’ve ever visited - come here and support some amazing people! The beers themself are excellent, and there’s something for everyone. It’s obvious that the brewer really knows what they’re doing. Even non-beer drinkers can find something to like: natural wine & cider, high quality cocktails, coffee, and lots of non-alcoholic options too. Everything was very reasonably priced. The space is beautiful. I especially loved the patio! All of the food is made from scratch in their kitchen, and you can really tell everything is made from high quality ingredients. To top it all off, it’s pet friendly. There’s basically no reason not to come hang out here all day.”
