The lady working- wish I would’ve asked her name, but she took the time to answer any questions thoroughly even though she was busy! “Lotus Thai stands out from the former Thai Basil. The inside has been remodeled and updated. It feels very open and is definitely well lit. The staff is all very friendly and wonderful to talk to. The menu is definitely smaller, which by no means is a bad thing. We picked dishes that we are familiar with. We tried the panang gai, larb gai, som tham, fresh spring rolls, crab rangoon, Thai coffee, and Thai iced tea. First thing I will say about the food, is it is definitely different from Thai Basil and different than my Thai grandmother's cooking. (Thai Basil is how we used to scratch cravings for her cooking. She lives in Florida.) The fresh spring rolls and crab rangoons were good for starters. They weren't really why we visited. I personally liked the dipping sauce for the fresh spring rolls. To me it tasted like a soy sauce based sauce that had the umami of fish sauce, the zest of some citrus, and a hint of sweetness. The panang reminded me of the maesri panang curry paste, my grandmother uses. My husband got it as a level 10, the spicest they offer. They are not playing with this heat. The zucchini and squash are very interesting choices of vegetables for this dish too. The sweetness of the dish is something that we couldn't get past. The larb reminded me more of a satay. I'm not saying it isn't bad, I am just used to being able to taste more of the balance of fish sauce, lime, chili, and sugar. I did like the rice powder used for this dish. It seemed like it was toasted and ground with a mortar and pestle. It gave it a nice "crunch" texture. Next is the som tham. I like that they offer Shrimp and Beef as protein add-ins to this dish, but personally, have had it with shrimp or without shrimp. (Mostly without- that is how my grandmother makes it.) The som tham was probably my favorite. It balanced sweet, spicy, and crunchy fairly well. It will definitely scratch that itch if miss my grandmother's cooking. (Though she doesn't use green beans or shredded carrots. It will definitely do in a pinch.) I will ALSO NOTE Thai food prepartion/dishes varies on region. While I may not be used to my food being as sweet, that is not a reflection of this restaurant. Personally I'm used to more spicy/savory Thai food because of what my Grandmother and Mom made for us.”

“Tried the Shrimp and Grits for breakfast and they were good. Shrimp was definitely seasoned well. Grits were topped with cheese and bacon and had a great taste. Menu stated they have a cream sauce, but I didn't see any sauce mixture on the grits. Overall, they tasted good. I'll definitely be back to try the pasta.”

“We had a great time. A wonderful 1st experience there. Our waitress Destiny was so sweat and helpful. She explained everything to us and walked us through it all. She kept checking on us and showed us how to regulate the heat on our pots and even changed out our grills. She was really great. Ask for her if you chose to go. Food was awesome! “Wings were milder than expected. Buffalo Hot was more like a Buffalo mild from most places. Got some Extra Hot on the side and that was more like a good Buffalo hot. Wings were quite good overall. Also had honey Hot, also on mild side but good. Will be back for more Wings another day. Star off food was because the fried okra was not good. Middle didn't cook, probably went from frozen straight into fryer. Wouldn't order it again. My. Mom had the Philly and really liked it. Service was very friendly and attentive. Could use some toothpicks on site, didn't see any but also didn't ask.”

“April 2022 Update: I went for Karaoke night on a Friday and it was really fun! The owners are completely engaged in the customer experience so it made everything worth while. Very nice establishment! The owners are very attentive and helpful. The staff was fun and made sure we had a great time! We came too late for the food but we heard it was great so we will definitely be back. Their corkage fee is pretty reasonable so that’s a plus! The hookah had a great flavor and our drinks were good! “This place is fantastic! Bartlett is super lucky to have Biscuits and Jams. My husband ordered one of the specials, Banana bread pudding, this was an so delicious. I ordered the Creole shrimp Benedict and was so pleased with the flavors. My 3 year old loved his colorful waffles. Our server Ariel was the best, and the owner Ms. Williams even stopped by the table to chat about our experience. We plan on making this place a regular stop on our weekends. “Placed an order for gender reveal cupcakes. Pink and blue swirled icing and the gender on the inside. The cupcakes were delicious. The icing was my favorite. When I arrived to pick them up the icing wasn't correct. The girls were able to fix it but we had to wait 45 minutes for the correction. Overall, it's a very nice bake shop and the gender was correct on the inside!”

“Good burger, the draw to this place is definitely the selection of toppings. Fresh lettuce, grilled onions or pineapple, jalapenos, and many more items to chose from that are free. Cheese is an additional .79 cents though, and they'll ask you right away what kind of cheese you want (the menu board is clear about that). Battered fries are good, and the salad was fine also. I watched one employee sanitize and clean while we were there so that's good!”
