It was great. Very different comfort food and so many choices. I got a goat cheese hamburger for the first time. I never knew goat cheese was sweet. My wife had waffle and chicken with coffee maple syrup. Never heard of that but it was great. Prices were very reasonable. Great atmosphere, service was perfect. Give them a try if you're in Roanoke.
The only real burger joint on Oak Street. Like the previous business in this location, Twisted Root, it's fancy burgers but now with a full bar and more drink options. I tried the really loaded one that included an egg; interesting idea but more boast than flavor, couldn't finish. Half price house drinks at happy hour are nice, but even one of those and a burger will put you out the door over $20. Priced out of my range for casual dining, more like a once in a while place, which is too bad because downtown Roanoke doesn't have more economical burgers besides fast food.
So my husband believes this is the best FOOD here in downtown Roanoke! Took him here for his birthday. This is the best burger spot around here. Now service can be slow…but we are still low key in a pandemic. My attitude gets bad quick but Thank God I waited tables in college! So be cool and have patience, food and drinks 🍹 delicious. The bartender Austin is great! My favorite is Crazy Goat! The other two great ones are the Smoky Lucy and the Fancy Nancy. Would of took a pic but I ate it too fast 😩
