Bolivar St. BBQ

The family that own's and runs this place is fantastic! They are very friendly and know how to treat customers. The food is great! Those of you that want to stick to ribs, sausage, and brisket can and won't be disappointed. Those of you up to trying new things go for the American egg rolls or any other different item on the menu! They are big portions so you wont leave hungry. One egg roll is plenty!

Best BBQ We have had in a long time!! We ordered a few menu items and everything was amazing from main course to the sides even the sweet tea was Texas sweet tea!!! The people are very nice and friendly we, Highly recommended you will not be disappointed!

We were heading North to OKC and wanted to eat something decent, not from the fast food restaurants next to the highway and just accidentally stopped here! What a karma! We ordered ribs and a rich cheeseburger... and then the owner told us we had to try their brisket...food heaven! We got a tasting selection of various briskets, all were superb, delicious, rich in flavors and juicy, one of the bests I ever ate in Texas! And their house special brisket mac and cheese is another great dish! Besides these two tastings our orders came well made, a very rich cheeseburger full of ingredients! And we had good talks with the owner of the place as well. This family run place deserves 5 star! We thank you for the kind hospitality and wish you a great future in this place.

I can safely say this is the best BBQ in Denton County and probably much further out. Their meats are always very high quality and cooked to perfection. Burgers are fantastic as well. The American spring rolls are an amazing addition to a great menu. Try the brisket and jalapeno Mac and cheese one. You won't be sad you did. I think the key to this place is they use quality meats and ingredients. It really is about providing amazing food to them.
Beyond all of that, the family that runs the place is always very nice. They treat my family as if we were part of theirs and that makes everything just that much better. My son loves going there because it is always fun for him, thanks in very large part to the staff playing with him and just being awesome.
Make sure you try the banana pudding. It is probably the best I have had.
Well worth a visit or five.

Update: 01-19-2019. They now have a soda machine. Still there best BBQ around!

Update: 3-8-2018. This has become my favorite BBQ joint. I have never been disappointed. Changing from 4 to 5 stars.

Great food. Loved the jalapeno mac n cheese. The restaurant is clean and they have 8 TV's on various channels. Friendly staff - they came to ask us how our food was several times.

As of this review, they did not have a soda machine. If you want a soda, you have to buy a bottle.
