I had high hopes for this place. The menu, on paper, looks great and a local food critic had posted favorably about it. But when I entered at the start of happy hour on a Friday, I did not find it very inviting. The first third or so of the bar was taken up by trays of glasses. There was a tiny space before a man who appeared to be a employee had set up to work at the bar. His laptop, notebook, sunglasses, etc. took up another 2+ spaces. The other end of the bar had various junk on it, as well. The disarray extended to behind the bar, with boxes and cleaning supplies here and there. A yellow curtain that covered the entrance to an area behind the bar appeared to be filthy from being pushed to the side by employees moving past it. When I looked towards the kitchen there were items stacked in front of it, as well. The bartender, who was friendly, explained that they had been rearranging things that day and they moved to remove the glassware from the bar (only to stack it in full view behind the bar). Eventually, the man closed his laptop and moved his workspace elsewhere. Those actions corrected some of the messy disarray but not nearly all. I ordered a couple of appetizers which were just ok, really nothing to write home about. I cannot complain about $3 happy hour draft craft beer I'm going to try them again when they've had some time to tidy their space and eat something more substantial (again, the menu looks great and someone whose opinion I value has spoken well of it). For now, they are on probation and I have serious doubts. I don't understand how an establishment with any pride would allow their space to present so poorly at the beginning of a Friday evening and I have a special dislike for places that let their employees turn the bar into a workspace; I find it extremely rude and uninviting.

Amazing happy hour with some of the fish sauce chicken wings and half price drinks. Some of the best wings I’ve had in Texas.

Gorgeous spot! Food was delicious. Service was slow, and the shrimp was overcooked and tasted very shrimpy, but everything was otherwise wonderful. I'd stop by again. Lovely grape Vines, try the Vietnamese coffee!

Wonderful meal at this authentic Vietnamese Restaurant tonight! The triple beef photo was tender and very flavorful. Try the beef fried ch or some additional flavor as well. The egg rolls are filled with a wonderful flavor as well! Can't wait to come back and sample some more of the menu! Chef Nikki has an attention to detail. A great and unexpected experience.
