“If you like small town diners, this is the place to eat in Big Spring, TX! Kathy has owned the restaurant 27 years. Most of the customers are regulars who are known by name. The food is fresh and delicious. I had the Patty Melt but was too hungry to take a picture. The homemade chocolate cake and the Key Lime Pie were great, too! If you've read other reviews and want the catfish, please note that it's only available on Friday as the daily special.”

Starlee's Kitchen

Address: 505 Scurry St, Big Spring, TX 79720, USA

Restaurant

“First time we have been here and we really enjoyed our breakfast at this new place. It serves classic breakfast in a nice comfortable environment. Hubby ordered a ham and cheese omlet, which is served with toast and hashbrowns. The omelet was cooked with the perfect amount of ham and cheese and his hashbrown were cooked just right. He was hungry and also ordered the biscuits and gravy. The biscuits were so delicious and a nice flakie crust, served with white gravy that was wonderfully seasoned. I ordered the pancake plate that had 3 huge pancakes the size of the plate and had 2 eggs cooked to your specification, with your choose of 2 bacon or 2 sausages, or 2 ham. I choose the bacon and they were cooked to the right amount of crisp. We really enjoyed our breakfast here.”

“It was ok! Not how many reviews mention the best. The atmosphere is great cause there’s great Mexican music. The chips were good just too much oil. I got the tacos de carnitas, the carnitas were very dry and hard to chew idk if because it was 30 minutes to closing. The rice and beans were good but too much grease. The salad was fresh and good. Las gorditas were good homemade and spicy. I don’t think I would come back but we’ll see.”

Yeah, this place needs a little management correction, they could keep the kitchen cleaner and more organized, but you know what...I STILL LOVE TV AND GO EVERY CHANCE I GET. I grew up on this stuff there in Big Spring. This location has never messed my order up once, my food has always been satisfying. Thanks guys!!!! FRESH KOLACHE AND DONUTS

Address: 2110 S Gregg St, Big Spring, TX 79720, USA

Restaurant

“PRO-TIP: The minimum charge for a credit card must be $5, so keep that in mind. I was forced to buy 3 extra things before I could use my CC, because I didn’t have any cash on me. Got there in the last hour before closure at noon on a Monday. Came in and was met with a friendly lady. It was my first ever visit so I had read the reviews and noticed everyone raving about the blueberry donuts. I first asked for burritos since I read so many good things online about this place and their burritos. But they were all out! Astonishing. I didn’t really see a veggie option anyways (bean and cheese doesn’t count). The place does open at 4.20 AM, so people must have beaten me to their supplies. I got two blueberry donuts and they were absolutely good! Very different taste and pleasant. I then tried one chocolate donut - it was appalling and an absolute waste of money and food. I’ve tasted Krispy Kreme doughnuts my whole life, so I was comparing these donuts to theirs and the blueberry ones were good in their own way but these were just not satisfactory from any angle. Stay away from these. I threw away all of the chocolate donuts because they were hard and not flavorable at all. I also tried a maple glazed old-fashioned doughnut and loved this - I don’t think you can go wrong with old fashioned donuts unless you already don’t like the rough, cracked texture of these specific kinds of cake doughnuts. I did like these. I did see red velvet donuts 👀 but I didn’t purchase them, so maybe next time… I also tried the drive-through option because it intrigued me, as to how such a small shop can hold a drive-through structure along with a walk-in shop. There was only one person attending to both, so they are definitely understaffed at that time. Beware: it is a definitely a very narrow drive-thru lane, which surprised me as a Texan. I was holding my breath the entire time going through, panicking about potential scrapes but I managed to go through. It was okay. All in all, bring cash only or purchase more than $5 of stuff if you plan to use credit/debit card. Definitely try the blueberry doughnuts as the reviews are very positive about them. The price is also very affordable. This wasn’t a jaw-dropping donut shop but it was better than the other Jack and Jill donuts I’ve tried here in Texas. The other alternative is driving 2 hours over to the Krispy Kreme location in Lubbock.”
