“Pricing was alright, the only non-fried option was the Yard Bird, so we went with that. We got mashed potatoes and Mac to accompany the bird. The Mac was dry and totally unimpressive, but was more palatable with their house gravy, which was pretty good. The potatoes were very creamy, and tasty! The chicken was awesome! Very crispy skin, gentle smoke flavor, tender, juicy but not very greasy. Looking forward to more grilled options, I'll try dolling up the Mac, I think it just needs more sauce.”

The waiter did a wonderful job with the big party that we had and had everything that we needed in a timely manner. After we finished our wonderful meal, the manager Colby came over to check on us and asked how everything was. He was very professional. “I went there on a Saturday night and the place was busy, which is a great time for a buffet since the food is turned over often and generally stays fresh. The roast, chicken and Mexican fare was well seasoned and tasty. Most of the desserts we're very good and the rolls we're freshly baked. Some cookies were very hard and the steaks were very fatty though. The waitress was excellent and the rest of the staff kept the food coming and the place clean.”

“I visited Tia Juanita's Fish Camp on a night with live music. The music was very good, two guitar players who could both sing. They were playing a mix of modern and classic rock, country, and pop. The interior is made to feel like you are in a Louisiana Dock house, or at least the interior 'patio' (enclosed) is anyway. I had the Seafood Gumbo, a large bowl, and it was real gumbo. It was also pretty good gumbo, not exactly authentic or like granny's, but good for the area and for the price. For desert I had their Bread Pudding. Very rich, lots of flavor, and unconventional. It is a 5" tall loaf that could satisfy 2 dinners. The sauce is buttery and creamy, not too sweet. It was actually the highlight of my dining experience! The dining accommodations in the interior 'patio' are older and not the most comfortable, but I was not looking for a 'fancy' place so that was OK. There is no need to dress up to enjoy the music or the food, just make sure you have on a shirt and shoes :)”

Maybe I wasn't feeling well or maybe I just didn't like the seasoning they used on their seafood. The hamburger and fries were spectacular. I liked the coconut bread pudding. The boiled crawfish were a bit too spicy for our taste. All of the portions were enough for two people, which I don't like, but some people think is a good value.”

“Great Place ! Food was great. We got there around 11:00 am Saturday. We were seated immediately by the Hostess. We clearly had a new Waitress (which we were patient with because she was nervous ) We both had Hamburgers. One was the smallest Burger and the other was with bacon, egg and everything else. Sides were Seasoned Fries (which looked like those string things in a can.) They were good though and Onion Rings which were good. We didn't wait very long at all for our order. We will be back to try something different to see if it is as good. I would recommend giving them a try.”

“Food was good as usual, but wait staff was very slow to respond. I have found this to be true any time I have been there when they are not very busy. Our visit this time was during the week about 1.5 hour before closing. This particular day not a full house, so we had to wait and wait for everything. Chips ran out, hot sauce ran out, drinks went empty. We actually had to flag someone down, which I don't like to do, to get any service. We where seated in the main seating area in front of the bar, so not like we where stuck back in the corner. We eat here many times throughout the year. I really like their food, but the last 3 times I have been (all within the last 2 months) service was very slow like this time...I certainly don't think it is because there is a lack of staff. We get much better service when the restaurant is busy.”
