“Hope the Rivulet remains. Excellent first experience..from the service we received from Emily to the food, it was all great. Party of 3 on a Sunday. They currently take reservations over the phone. It took only 4 minutes from the time we ordered our Mushroom/Bacon soup for it to show up. Excellent soup (this is a special offering for Feb only). Reuben with Fries, Squash Ravioli, Cauliflower, Asian Chicken Sandwich were also on our order. All were rated excellent. The menu is going to expand according to the owner and they will eventually add breakfast food. We will certainly be back as there are several other offerings that looked good to us to include the Lamb Kabobs and Waygu.”

“The Cup is an upscale cafe that serves amazing selection of coffee drinks, along with excellent breakfast and lunch options including awesome gourmet sandwiches and salads. For those with dietary restrictions, they have an impressive gluten-free, dairy-free and nut-free options. The first thing I noticed was how welcoming and friendly they are. They also have an incredible selection of breakfast and lunch options including awesome avocado toast made with gluten-free sour dough bread, Belgian waffles with pure maple syrup, sausage stuffed biscuits, and baked goods, including scones, muffins, and cookies. Their wonderful lunch options include a variety of salads and wonderful panini sourdough sandwiches. Gluten-free, dairy-free, and nut-free options are available as well. I have a family member with many food allergies, so I always appreciate restaurants that are mindful of these and offer alternatives. I was impressed by the concern and accommodations for those with food allergies and sensitivities. The owners went the extra mile in sourcing excellent, high quality and healthy ingredients. The Cup is warm and inviting with a relaxing ambiance, gorgeous handcrafted wood decor, and beautiful artwork. It would be a great place to meet up with friends or even a group, as it has lots of room. They have a separate meeting room with a TV that would be perfect for a small business meeting. A spacious outdoor area has plenty of tables to host a larger group or gathering. Of course, with fast internet, this cafe is also a cozy place to catch up on studying or reading while enjoying coffee and a delicious muffin or sandwich. I highly recommend!”

“One thing that wasn’t clear in the reviews or menu (and I just asked, it’s apparently a new change as of the new year) is that they no longer have a constant breakfast menu as it wasn’t doing well. They supposedly will still have some classics like eggs Benedict on Sunday brunch. I ordered a classic mocha, my fiancé a double shot espresso. The blend they use is excellent and they clearly have an amazing machine, no burnt coffee taste here, just smooth and bold as good espresso should be. Their baked goods also look phenomenal, the lemon poppyseed cake is definitely delicious, not too sweet. However, the atmosphere is lovely, and the staff are very welcoming and friendly. There’s a party here that seems to be for a wedding shower, so it’s nice to see that they accommodate for that, however it does take up half of the inside seating area. Once things warm up again, we will probably make this a constant stop to sit outside and enjoy the gorgeous views of the live oaks. Overall, 5 stars for everything except a shortened menu (can something simple like eggs and toast be available daily?).”

“My husband and I were in Saturday for the day and smelt the awesome aroma of Klein Smokehaus when we walked past it. We stopped in before leaving just to check it out and were greeted in a very friendly manner. We each got a chopped beef sandwich and I got a small potato salad and sweet tea. The sandwich was loaded with meat and I have to admit that it was the best that I have ever eaten. It was so moist and flavorful. The potato salad was also excellent. The tea was wonderful and very fresh, it’s hard to find sweet tea like that anymore. It reminded me of the tea that my mother used to make when I was a child. We will definitely be visiting Klein Smokehouse again on another visit to Boerne. Highly recommended!”
