It’s always so hard to find a great place to eat along I-45 from Houston to Dallas, so I was so thrilled to discover this hidden gem! The meatball sub, Eggplant Parmesan, and bread + olive oil dip were incredible! Absolutely incredible. And the homemade marinara sauce was fabulous. A very worthy stop on a roadtrip (or a great place to visit often if you live nearby!)! Thank you for a great meal!

Absolutely delicious! I encourage anyone who has left a negative review to give them another shot. It's not often you find a GOOD Italian restaurant in a rural area. Service was quick, the waitress and hostess were very sweet, the food was hot. Our son got a personal pizza- real mozzarella, delicious homemade sauce. My husband got the spaghetti and meatballs- he loved it. I got the shrimp tortellini- creamy pink sauce, shrimp was fresh tasting, and the noodles were cooked to perfection! The bread was out of this world! Will be back! The only thing that was even a slight disappointment was my husband wished there was cheese for his pasta, but we will ask next time if we could get a side of mozarella.

In rural Texas, finding a good Italian restaurant is an unexpected treat. Duran's is exactly that. The food was delicious, the portions were generous, the prices were modest, and the service was great. Plus ample parking and easy access. Do yourself a favor and check them out!
