“Bring a cooler! You are going to want to buy a bunch of stuff!! The deli area has so many meat and cheese choices. There is also fudge and baked goods. AND, check out the homemade canned goods in the center aisle. I bought smoked garlic and candied jalapenos. The only reason for stopping was the Tesla charger and for lunch (which was wonderful). I can't wait until the next trip.”

“It’s always so hard to find a great place to eat along I-45 from Houston to Dallas, so I was so thrilled to discover this hidden gem! The meatball sub, Eggplant Parmesan, and bread + olive oil dip were incredible! Absolutely incredible. And the homemade marinara sauce was fabulous. A very worthy stop on a roadtrip (or a great place to visit often if you live nearby!)! Thank you for a great meal!”

“The facility needs work. You can tell that the ceiling was repaired to fix a peak, but the damage the leak caused was not repaired. The walls look like they took on water and the wall covering looks like the paint is the only thing keeping it stiff. The service was dull. The food was ok. Fajita meat lightly seasoned with onions. Missed the color and taste of bell peppers. The beans were tasty.”

“I loved the Town Cafe. The people who served us were nice and came over often to see if we needed anything. The food was cooked with care and not any of it seemed to be processed like other fast food restaurants, they served home cooked meals. The selection was good, the food tasted great, and overall I'm happy with my visit. I liked the vibe of a small business and an older 1980's vibe all around. Good job!”

“Woody's is not just a restaurant, but if you go there just to eat you won't be disappointed. I had the ribs, which were perfectly cooked. They know how to let the smoke and meaty flavor speak for itself. But we also browsed their desserts and breads, and took some turnovers and chocolate toffee for the road. Clean and comfy, with VERY helpful and friendly staff. A little something for everyone, as long as everyone digs meat and sweets. We really enjoyed it as a break on a long road trip.”

“We stopped by this subway location on our way to the cruise ship terminal in Galveston. we were feeling pretty hungry, so we stopped by to get some food. great service, what you would expect, and I liked it a lot. some subways don't have my usual favorite meatball marinara sub, and I was glad that this location in the middle of nowhere had that. If I ever pass by Centerville ever again, I will choose this place.”

“I've been going to Country Cousins for over 30 years. The food is always good, and I'm always greeted with a smile and usually a hug. They now have a full blown restaurant, and you won't regret stopping by. The inside is decorated with items from Leon Country, paying respect to the history. (Rusty even has the old CAFE sign from Grandpa's Cafe!) Back to the food - The meat is tender and flavorful. But now they've got stuffed baked potatoes that *SHOULD* be enough for 2 meals. (I really need to work on my self control,) And they even have fried fish! Country Cousins is a throwback to great good, great service, and a family atmosphere that you just can't find anymore. It's the place to go where everyone really does know your name.”

The gentleman behind the meat counter was super nice and was the first to greet us through the door. He was also the main reason we ended up with some jerky and sausage.
