“Every experience I have had here has been great. The owners/staff have always been courteous and friendly to me and my children even when I show up right when they are about to close. The selection is great. You won't get better Koloches anywhere and their doughnuts are delicious. This will always be me and my childrens go to place. I will always appreciate their kindness. “I was kinda disappointed. The chicken wings weren't that good, as the breading was not true to classic Korean fried chicken. The ramen was kinda bland, and the tofu soup was just not as flavorful as I was expecting for the price. The vibe is good and the scenery is pretty unique. I don't know if I'd go back since it wasn't quite worth the price I paid. It all looks good, just the flavor isn't really there.”

“Heard a lot of good things about this location since it reopened and it is definitely worth all the hype. All of the sushi was extremely fresh and fairly priced for the area. Rice for the sushi and rolls was cooked perfectly. Their hot foods were great too, I kept looking around at other diners plates because everything that was coming out of the kitchen looked and smelled great. It is a small dining space, and they can be busy during lunch time, but definitely worth the wait 😋 look forward to coming back and trying more”

“Our 1st time going we sat at a table an our server wasn't too friendly didn't seem like she wanted to be there. We felt unwelcome, but I let it go, once the bar area opened up we sat at the bar and the bartender is amazing I loved her 😍 she was friendly quick with our drinks and just so sweet. “Our original plans didn't work out so we stopped here for a bite instead. There were 7 of us and honestly no one enjoyed their meal. The appetizers weren't that great either. We all agreed that we wouldn't be going back. Our waitress was attentive at first but disappeared for a long time towards the end of our meal. She was however very pleasant so we left a good tip and I felt compelled to give more stars than what was warranted.”

“The wings were very good. They were crispy and generously covered in sauce, but not too overwhelming. The one complain I'd have is that the wings themselves were a bit small, especially for price paid. I would still go back, but I wouldn't make a habit of it. The fries though were some of the best sweet potato fries I've had here in Midland. I will say that the service was very friendly and quick.”

“Probably one of the most interesting atmospheres I've had in a restaurant that didn't cost me my first born child. The area is laced with relaxing music and a friendly atmosphere, the staff are at the ready to assist and love to get to know their customers. The food was great, some of the best sushi I've had, reminded me of my favorite place for sushi back home. I will be frequenting this place in the future. The two rolls I got were the Fuji roll and Firecracker (left to right). Great selections just to test the waters of this joint, keep in mind however, the firecracker has a kick to it. Those who appose spice should stay away! But for the rest I will definitely recommend it.”

“Ever walk into a place, and it feel like home? That’s Ray’s Italian Bistro in Midland. Soft lighting, families crowded around tables, and soft Italian music floating thru the air. Baskets of bread and oil hit the table, with big menus right behind them. The menu is simple, but full of options for pasta/meat/pizza. “This was a VERY pleasant and random find for us here in Midland. The food is fully of FRESH flavors and is not completely drowned in various seasonings. All the dishes appear to be very deliberately prepared in order to be complimentary to what it is paired with so that no one single item is over powering. “The food was fantastic and the environment was amazing but I want to point out that the Queen of Texas Queen of Tex-Mex music Selena ate at this restaurant. You can see by the picture I posted. Folks I got goosebumps. I normally don't get this way but to know that's such an icon to music and to Texas ate at this restaurant and that I could be drinking from the same cup that she drank from... iblows my mind. Coming back to the review of the food I finished my plate and that says a lot.”

“We've heard good things about this place since we've come to Midland, and I'm actually pretty impressed with Garlic Press. All the staff were very nice and attentive, we came during dinner rush on a Saturday and our waiter never missed a beat. Everything came out at a good time. Everything we ordered was very fresh, well seasoned and constructed. Scallops were cooked perfectly, and delicious. Risotto was out of this world. The banana pudding cheesecake was hands down one of the best cheesecake I've ever had. The only things that we didn't like were just preference things, but everything down to the flavored oil and bread tasted great. They even had really good water. and yeah it's expensive... But I'd say it's worth it for a special occasion. Look forward to coming back and trying more of the menu. Edit: their brunch is fantastic too!”
