“We tried this place because someone referred us to it. We like looking for those places that make u feel like your are swept away to Mexico. This place is a taco truck with a wood burning grill where they roast chicken and corn like you find in Mexico. You can sit there if you like but it is outside seating but on a nice day its nice. Not for everyone but if you dont mind flies and smoke you will like it. The fajita tacos are real good. The parillada is mixed meats all cooked on the grill to feed a family is rwal good. My family ordered the loaded baked potatoe with fajitas. They loved it. I have to say there charro beans are delicious. If you love hot salsa, you will love their homemade salsa. Not for the weak folks this salsa packs a punch. You gotta try them all, they are all hot”

“I went to Raising Canes for the 1st after hearing how good they are. When I looked at the reviews, I was shocked to see all the bad ones. I personally had a great experience. The place was clean. The service was helpful and polite. This guy walked around and cleaned the entire time we were there. The place is a nice hang out or a place to get a quick bite. I ordered the 4 finger basket and my son ordered the 3 finger basket. My wife ordered the chicken strip sandwich. I felt all the plates had plenty of food other than 1 strip but that's common that some strips are smaller any where you go. My son loves their food since it was not his 1st. He is sold. My wife is a picky eater but she really enjoyed her chicken Sandwich. I can gladly say, we were all happy with our food and service. They also have lots of beverages to choose from which is a plus. I'm sure we will be going back soon.”

“Arrived before 6PM with a 15 min wait. Sat at the bar and had a drink until the table was ready. Fast friendly service which was good because table was ready in 5 minutes. Waitress in training Hailey was prompt & friendly. I ordered the Chicken Laredo, husband ordered ribeye. Both of us agreed that the dishes were better than surrounding restaurants and price wasn’t too bad! Definitely will return! Glad to have Saltgrass join Valley Ranch! Order before 6PM for early dine pricing!”

“I came here for lunch the other day and my partner and I ordered the number 1 which is their super burger (single patty hamburger) as a combo. We both ordered the exact same thing, however the amount of vegetables we received were totally different. I got more tomatoes than any other veggie, meanwhile my partner got more lettuce than any other veggie. I believe that the beef patty here is pretty thin compared to other places. The fries were absolutely amazing, salted really well and had good amount of crunch. The prices here are pretty on par compared to your national chains. I would return, however I would probably get a double cheeseburger without the veggies added.”

Well, my food tasted and looked like two day old BBQ, if you know what I mean...it just didn't taste fresh. I also gave my coworker some and he said the same thing. I ordered a three meat plate, ribs, sausage, and brisket. The two sides were rice casserole and green beans. The rice casserole which was like a very spicy sausage and cheese mixture...I can't really say what tasted like, it was just different! The green beans were bland...just green beans no season. I gave them 3 stars because of the amount of meat I received. I would definitely try them again if the BBQ was fresh!”

“This place is amazing. On top of the hood customer service, they actually did not have the oxtail I was looking for but they have beef short rib in the same sauce as their oxtail. I am so glad they ran out of oxtail. I don’t think I’ve ever had beef short rib as tender as that before. The Caribbean corn and Mac and cheese are amazing. We also ordered and split a turkey leg and it wasn’t your typical dried out turkey leg; this one was juicy and flavorful. Definitely a fan and returning.”

“Good place for tacos. Found this spot as part of the Food Zone. Working in the area it's not a lot of options. Finding Tacos La Abuela was a bonus. The first time i came, the service wasn't the best. It took about 15 mins to get my food and they weren't busy. The second time I visited, the wait was less than 5 mins. I attribute that to the older lady who was working. Some people know how to get orders in and out. Definitely recommend.”

Super rude staff, was told to "hurry up" when placing my order, wasn't "allowed" to order just Mac and cheese for my 1 year old. Wasn't given drinks for my food. Cashier did not offer a single pleasantry throughout the entire experience. Food flavor is amazing tho. They know what they have and they that's what they offer. No more no less. “Moving from ny I've tried several pupusas in texas. I have to say these are definitely the best in Houston. This food truck is family owned and everything is made from scratch. They take their time and make sure the food is always on point ! The food is loaded with flavor and they're reasonably priced as well. As for the people leaving bad reviews because of an address change dont let this stop you or turn you away from trying this amazing food. “Stopped by the Food Zone for lunch, but the place I wanted to go to was not open. Gave The Salty Helmet a try. The menu consist of chimichangas and macaroni and cheese. I ordered the Bleu Rooster, a buffalo and blue cheese chimichanga. It was good, but the blue cheese was overpowering. I love blue cheese, just a little too much was in it. Came with a side of beans. They were better than the chimichanga. My wife got the southern macaroni and cheese. That was really good. Wasn’t a bad runner up. The staff was really friendly. Only bad part of eating there they were out of corn. My first two choices on the menu had corn. I’ll be going back to try them though.”
